Seems to be another way to spam.  Have received two private messages this week spamming.  This last one from a newbie "taistatizwrap".
Just ignore every mesage that will come to you if you think that they are scam. Aa long as you dont cliick any link your account is safe. Hackers will try to do anything just get or steal money from other people.
well, now we have to be careful. Many are trying to hack someone's account, make sure and read carefully if you want to open a link.

I also received some spam messages. There are some links listed on their message, but I am too lazy to read when the message comes from a new account. i do not really know if that is a scammer or not.

Don't click if you think it's a scam. Just leave it be and never trust anyone. It's prefeberable to build your knowledge first before considering engaging with it.

Yes, all accounts also experienced such a thing. If it is felt only make useless posts or just litter alone will get a private message from a moderator whose contents could be the removal of postings or exposed to close your account temporarily or permanently can also.

Yeah, all come from Brand New account too. I thought we have restricted for new account in PM?
Yes, newbie accounts do have restrictions on sending Personal message among users but its not totally long for them to wait to send another message into other user which I would say that entire days sending of those spam messages would be sufficient for them. I have receive tons of messages from newbie users either ICO-related or Trading Bot related which I didn't really bother to engage with it.

i've been getting a lot of these lately, is there a way to disable pm's from newbies?
If there any option please tell me too. I think the only option is to report those spammer to moderator in case you encounter them. You can make a difference once you report them.

Never mind them, ignore them completely. If they are not maliciously motivated why should't they use the proper way of getting attention. Chances are you will get a malware, virus or phished or hacked.
Yes absolutely right, think before you click. Not all but many of them are scammer and just waiting a correct time to attack. Just be careful guys and report to moderator if you want to avoid them and help others. We need to educate our self in such a simple way like that.
that's hard, because in truth most of the people are full of curiosity. so if we can not really understand about the scam, we would be easily affected by a scam

I have been receiving private message spams that endorses their project and most of those messages are coming from a newbie. These people are being ignored I'm not interested to their private and they bother to advertise through personal message. I don't take them seriously and if they want to advertise they had to remain on their ANN thread's or signatures.

Use report to moderator button and in comments write advertisement spam.
It is very common thing here and I don't think moderators can fight it, but still it is good to report such things.
They don't understand that spam will cause that no one will check their project.

Every time I get one, I just roper it to a moderator. There's a drop down for this in your inbox.

The Mods will block & a new name will be used & spamming will continue.  Even if the Mods are blocking the ip address, with VPNs, blocking ip and names doesn't mean much.

I too keep receiving them very often these days. Those are likely newbie shill bot accounts made for the spamming purpose. All you have to do is report the message to an admin/moderator.They will likely ban the account, wouldn't help much but will certainly keep them in control.

This is what I'm doing which If I do receive those kind of spam messages I do report it to moderator and then delete it. I don't try to read up those things and they do always mention about ICO stuffs regarding investing etc. Sometimes I do receive that Gunbot thing. Don't know how to stop on receiving those messages even you do ignore that user another newbie account will patch up to send you message.

That's a terrible way to promote an ICO in our opinion. Doesn't give a good impression at all and screams scam.

With a significant number of 'ICOs' not completing their offer & falling by the wayside, this scamming just shows how much you need to do 'due diligence' on each and every coin or token you are interested in.

Even I also received these type of messages. I think some one in our forum is running a service of promoting ICOs via pm. But we cant do anything against it. If we complain to the admin, may be they will give them red trust or ban them. That's it. That too all are newbie accounts. If they receive red trust, they will create another account for promotion.
