It means transactions now become a private thing and hides identity of the sender or receiver which is one of the tenets underlying the foundations of blockchain and cryptocurrency as a whole

The Litecoin core team will be introducing Private transactions on Litecoin in mid 2019. What are your thoughts on it? I think personally its bad as lawmakers are currently unhappy with Monero and ZCash. What do you think?
One of the first impression of regulators in that upgrade in litecoin is that will be used in illegal so like Monero and Zcash,  Litecoin will banned too in others country.
But for me private transaction is good like the hype coin Grin.

Just ignore lawmakers. Bitcoin and litecoin are about a disruptive technology, not about solving bureaucratic problems.

Technology cannot be stopped by political classes. This is one thing history has really taught us. Countries which forbid new technologies are doomed.

Litecoin privacy will be good for all of us . If it works, Bitcoin can add it as well to its code.

Japan banned Monero completely. Monero is also banned in other countries. 90% of the trading volume is through Korea. We cannot ignore the lawmakers right. In the end, they hold the trigger!

It just like a feature to give the privacy to the users and what's wrong? At least to implement the protection is really needed consider a lot of parties are forcing anything in the crypto to implement KYC. That sounds good while at the same time it looks very contradictory with regulators.

It's going to be the new trend not just for this year but for the upcoming years too. People now understands the importance of data privacy and as much as possible with such private transactions or anonymous transactions, everyone likes it.

Can it move it’s market cap ??
Market cap still depends on the demand, so if people would buy Litecoin with this idea there will be an increasing volume for Litecoin. And the effect of it would certainly make it's price go high.

I think it’s not bad for liteocin
They just need to secure the private transaction and ensure it is not manipulated for money laundering

And I do not think this is bad. Anonymity in the blockchain is needed. Compare the situation with the banking system. After all, there anyone will not be able to see your account number and track all your transactions. And in the blockchain without the use of private transactions, anyone can do this. This is bad.
