We don't know if they actually abuse the merit system or they just accidentally sent a big amount of merit.
To be honest, this is pure merit abuse, but I think it personally. But we can't judge them based on our emotions, we shouldn't destroy some account just based on opinions and that's why I am avoiding such as case. If you are a judge then you have to take decisions based on solid proof. That's what I am missing on this thread. And it's not easy task to find pure evidence against merit abuse if these accounts are not connected each others.

By the way, keep finding and expose abusers.

Because even legendary members here on the forum can make a mistake sending a merit to a wrong post.

What you need to investigate here if the sender of merit is his alt account or not. If you found that its alt account of him they should receive negative trust.

Though you can investigate but I suggest starting with some solid proofs.
This is what i did for almost two days (checking post history of one user took two days without any result), but maybe because am not professional in doing this (don't have tools or skills) i just thought that this thread may take the attention of investigators willing to help.

I am also not able to find anything which is used by someone else as well. I think it is better to leave the case atm since it contains inconclusive and not a solid proof.

I would though keep an eye for this user. Thanks for reporting.

... But there is no any point to destroy account for sending merit .... if they really connected then we could take action.
I think it's early to talk about destroying accounts or DTs actions. This topic is made as a call up for investigation, not as accusation.
I mentioned above that i don't have enough valid proofs against those accounts.
Anyway, i respect your reaction as a DT member.

Nothing wrong your topic, but try to make full investigation  by yourself before make new post. So it would be easy for us to understand full case. Otherwise you can post or move your topic on Investigation section.
I previously thout to create this topic in the investigation board (didn't use that board before) but by checking threads there, i conclude that this would look ridiculous compared to others cases under investigation. At extreme case, this is just a suspicion of a merit abuse (not really a big thing) .

Without any kind of links in the merit system whatsoever the merits are likely bought from someone.
This is exactly what came into my mind when first see that merits were sent in short time between each other (9min).
I hope more volunteers get involved to investigate the case.

Personally, i don’t think the posts are particularly interesting or especially unique or have anything important/helpful within the context of the threads where they were posted.
And you are right to say that. Even quality and well thought post don't even receive that kind of amount from one person anymore. The thing is with merit abuse we cannot always link them to each other not until we see a more convincing story that they are abusing the merit system. What I mean about that is they excessively abuse the system and they from sending high volumes to particular people which also them are sending it back to him. Without any kind of links in the merit system whatsoever the merits are likely bought from someone.

They are not merit-worthy in general standards but then again that's upon people how they use their merit. All the three posts you have quoted which you find as probable merit abuse has either received from the project developer or someone who is actually in the team of the project.

To me it is unlikely that it is a merit abuse. Though you can investigate but I suggest starting with some solid proofs.

What i found is a user receiving too much merit points for two of his posts from two different senders within less than 10 minutes.
Nothing! Sent merit doesn't prove anything. I know that post doesn't deserve these merits. But there is no any point to destroy account for sending merit. It's better than decay merits. Try to find more connections, if they really connected then we could take action.

To be honest, I am just trying to avoid merit investigation lately since admin isn't encourage to tag them and he want people's should spend their merit. If there is obvious case like buy merit then that's is different case.

Let's firstly agree that there is absolutely nothing wrong with sending too much merits for a single post, as it's always (completely) up to the sending person. (Different persons have different interests)
Then, let's also agree that any user's action here can be questioned or even criticized without a false indictment.

What i found is a user receiving too much merit points for two of his posts from two different senders within less than 10 minutes.

Personally, i don’t think the posts are particularly interesting or especially unique or have anything important/helpful within the context of the threads where they were posted.
I already started to investigate in the post history of senders, but, till now, have found nothing that can prove connections between them. This is why i decided to post about it here, so forum cleaners may help.
Until proving the opposite, am not accusing anybody to be involved in a merit abuse theme, simply because i don't have enough valid proofs.
And because i believe that every single merit have a great value for forum users, am calling up helpful forum investigators (those i usually read their great investigation works) to check those profiles for a probable merit abuse.

Feel free to correct me if you see anything wrong in my topic.
