I would like to open a discussion about what you think is the best beer in the world.
I come from Belgium and everybody knows we are famous for our Manneken Pis, Fries (Not french Fries), Waffles and beer. For me i'm a Beer enthousiast and like to drink some beer with friends and at home.
We have alot of Brewery's in Belgium, too many to count offcourse.
I personally like to drink Leffe Blonde. I don't like darker beers or trappists, since the smell and taste is too strong. Leffe is a very good beer with many meat dishes or salty snacks. Also it feels a light beer to drink,but it makes you vey fast drunk. I just love Leffe. Do they also sell Leffe in your country?
But if i need to choose a local brewery my picks goes to Witkap and Westvletteren. These are very regional beers and are not everywhere to find. Since Westvletteren you can only get a bak of 24 per license plate in a month or so and the cost is also very high.
I would like to know with which traditions or meals you drink your beer with and if you think our small country delivers the best beer in the world or not
