team gate.io is quick to respond to any problems faced by members so you don't have to panic because you can certainly reset the funds password if you meet the requirements for the case.

I forgot my password as well and it took me just several hours to recover it. You need to have your personal docs, a pen and a white sheet of paper to write something down. Gate.io is a good exchange and support is working really fast, so do not worry so much.
Yes, you can create it at the setting. If it is still not updated in your account, please send a ticket to Gate.io's support system, they will soon support and help you withraw as soon as possible.

Almost all exchanges are now using this security procedure. This is the password that you had set up while registering your account with Gate.io
If you do not remember the password then you need to contact their support team. They will be able to help you.
Alternatively, if you do not have any funds on Gate.io then register once again with a different email this time.

Your best bet will be contacting their customer support. I am not a regular customer there but whenever I create any account with anyone I keep the information save in a safe place and I see there are fund password for my account too. Also they have anti phishing code too which is a good feature.
Anyway, contact with their customer support and seek help from them.
