Thanks for your prompt reply.

I've been trying to do as you showed however, Armory doesn't fully update the transactions. It stalls at 99%. see screenshot
https://www.screencast.com/t/x9PgySJM50

I've run it three times now, and even left it running overnight, hence the delay in getting back to you, but it still stalls at 99%.

Also, it doesn't always go online. I have run it with Bitcoin Core running at the same time and sometimes Armory goes online but others it is offline.

I'm very confused. :-( I read reviews saying that Armory is the most secure wallet - it certainly is. :-)

Thanks in advance.

BTW - You make a good point re image of the root key words. Mine are actually stored on a disconnected external drive so they should be ok there. :-)

Before you start, you should probably make a backup of the current wallet files

Then, in Armory... click the "Import or Restore Wallet" button in the top right corner...

Select "Single Sheet Backup"... (you may also want to check the "test" box at the bottom before you do it for real)

select "Version 1.35c (2 Lines unencrypted)"... and enter your two lines of the root key...

Armory should then recreate the wallet. If you still have that wallet loaded in your Armory, it'll probably warn you and you can either Merge or Overwrite it...

Your best option is probably to click "Merge" and reset your passphrase Wink Then kick back and relax while it regenerates your wallet and then rescans the DB for your transactions etc.

side note: for what it's worth, a screen shot of your wallet root key is a REALLY bad way to store your root key... it's like the 12 word seed for other HD wallets... it should NEVER be stored digitally.

Hi

I don't know my pass phrase. I thought the 2 rows of 9 blocks of 4 letters was the pass phrase.

I have a screenshot of the 2x9x4 letters and it says that this can be used to recover your wallet if you lose your pass phrase.

Can someone please point tell me how to do that.

Thanks
