Also, I know it's been covered and I have searched but getting this error:
GPU #3 returned incorrect data! 3bdfb3
Gracias
okay so no flash correct?
did you set the vm to 16gb if you are win 10 or win 7
do you use claymore?
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/claymores-zcashbtg-amd-gpu-miner-v126-windowslinux-1670733
NOTES:
1. Reduce intensity ("-i" option) if miner is unstable or if you see bad speed.
2. It seems there is no way to get full speed on latest drivers for Fiji cards, at least in Windows. So don't use latest drivers for Fury, use 15.12 or 16.3.2.
-i mining intensity. Possible values: 0...9. 0 - lowest intensity and CPU usage, 9 - maximal intensity. You can also specify values for every card, for example "-i 2,5,6". Default value is "6".
Note: reduce intensity if you get low speed or miner is unstable. Also check several values to find the best speed, for example, "-i 8" can be a bit faster than "-i 9" in some cases.
if you did not put in a number you are at -i 6 by default
try -i 5 in your .bat file

Thanks Phil again. I know how difficult it's gotta be teaching the new guys about the same basic shit for you all the time. Much appreciated.
Correct. No flash. It's stock. Just plugged in four days ago. I've been all ASIC prior to this rig. I downloaded AMD's latest drivers 22.19.157.3. These xfx rx 480 are Fiji? Going to read more about that.
I set the VM to 15.4 in Windows 10.
I'm using claymore via NiceHash (beginner shit)
------------------------------
I think the rest of the message is for the error: "GPU #3 returned incorrect data!"
So, I'll try to mod to the bat file. That could cause the instability in the memory usage on the single card and not the others?
After I get this stabilized I'd like to OC the cards. Does this prevent that mod?
Thanks again

don't call the drivers by those numbers. they are called by this set of numbers by most of us.
the 15's are oldest then the 16's then the 17's
don't use the 17's if you have rx 480's use a 16.11 or a 16.12
google amd 16.11 download
I download from this site below all the time. they are pretty safe.
AMD Radeon Software Crimson 16.11.5 driver download
www.guru3d.com/files-details/amd-radeon-software-crimson-16-11-5...
You can now download Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.11.5 driver. This release is focused on improved support for Watch Dogs 2. Radeon Software Crimson Edition is ..
here are some of the sets of drivers I did not write all down.
15.7
15.11
15.12
16.3.1
16.4.1
16.7.1
16.7.2
16.9.1
16.11.4
17.1.1
17.2.1
17.3.3
17.4.1
17.4.3
if you have rx 480's try the 16.11 and 16.12
I am 90% sure you are on a high intensity then the gear will handle.
Do you have an i5 cpu ?
most people put in the low cost Celeron or pentium cpus
You get short resources and a card bombs out.
I stopped building 6 card miners a long time ago since I know what the max power use in my house will ever be I know I can build 2,3,4 card rigs. And fit them all.
thus smaller psu's and cooler quieter gear is easy for me.
Also the vm should be at least 16 not 15.4
if you have a bigger ssd do 24 or 32 won't hurt if your hdd/ssd is big enough

re:Drivers - I figured that those specific drivers numbers would give you more info...but I have 17.4.2 installed now. I'll Display Driver Uninstall them and reinstall 16.11 per your suggestion.
I bought a cheap Celeron 3900 CPU and cheap 4gb ddr4 and cheap 60gb ssd. I've already ordered a 120gb ssd to replace and return the 60gb.
As soon as this is stable I was going to add 2 more GPU's (7 total). Free electricity where I currently am.
I'm also running speedfan as Wattman didn't control the fans on these RX 480's. Hopefully the 16.1 solves that problem as well.
I'll increase the vm, although I'm out of memory on the current ssd.
Also trying to figure out where the .bat file is for NiceHash to adjust intensity.
