Thank you guys for all your comments. I usally use firefox on linux. In the past everything worked fine. The issues have been started some weeks ago. Regarding my goal: I would need to import my private key to my watch only wallet in order to do any transaction. I generally switch the whole amount to a new paper wallet. Has electrum already solved their actual problems? I would need a linux version but still don`t find how to verify before installing. Any good advices?

Electrum with latest version 3.0.5 has solved permanently all of their problems. Electrum although being one of the best btc wallets is not the only one, you can try Exodus wallet which is a great multi-coin wallet that supports not only btc but many altcoins too. It is as safe as Electrum so a good alternative option to Electrum.
But the downside of using exodus is it doesn't have an option to choose your transaction fee with bitcoin transaction while electrum has a dynamic fee and you can do it manually. But so far you can trust exodus, overall they are good wallet.

This is a thread explaining how to verify electrum before installing it.

Hi guys,
thank you for your comments! Yes, I`ve tried again. It`s always the same problem. I use one laptop with the same browser. I`ve also checked the electrum wallet as an alternative, but as you already wrote, there are too many issues actually. My only fear is that someone could have cracked my login data to blockchain.info and this way is probably capable to copy my private key once I use it to do any transactions. On top of that it`s not really trustful that their support never reacts to any of my requests. I`m also thinking of buying some HW wallet like the ledger or trezor. But there too seem to be some problems since a few days. Is there no chance to get someone at blockchain.info on the phone? They don`t seem to have any hotline.

This is the reason why you don't seem to get any response from them even after waiting for days.

Notice: Our support team is currently under heavy load and may take longer than usual to respond to your request. Please check out our Popular Topics for clarifications on most issues.

Have you tried following up your problem in their twitter account? https://twitter.com/AskBlockchain

It's been months and they are still under heavy load of request  Huh. Maybe there's a huge backlog hmmm....

So what are you importing anyways? watch address or the private keys? If it's just a watch address, electrum should be fine

Yes. Hardware wallets are great and I recommend Ledger. Can I know what problem are you talking about specifically?

EDIT: Electrum should be fine now. You just need to use the latest version 3.0.5 and encrypt it with a strong password

I experienced this before but that's a usual problem that users are complaining to them. That email verification sometimes is just delayed or there should be a problem to their database so it wasn't able to send an instant email verification. And when it comes to their support, I tried contacting them before but they were too responsive. Maybe on these times there are too many tickets that they have to resolve one by one and their number who are taking those problems aren't number.

I haven't had much issues for accessing blockchain.info, the only thing that happens to me sometimes is that the verification email is not instant or not send at all.

Then it is your problem, have you tried to clean your cookies? Maybe the system is not recording your log-ing session and that is why you are not receiving the second email.
(I use it as a watch only wallet for my paper wallet). Meaning: As soon as I want to start to access my account twice a day, they don`t send me the verification email a second time, so can`t access the account again.
I do not like blockchain.info because they have a lot of issues, and that is probably one, there is some kind of incompatibility with some explorers, like chrome or maxthon.

I prefer to use the other wallets, and if you are going to sweep your private key, just do it in a safe place, do not use blockchain.info because they have a lot of issues (just like i said before) Electrum could be a good option for doing so.

I think there have to come some solutions in the future.

Blockchain.info has been known to be reluctant to implement fixes, and this concerns their entire site/platform. People have had to suffer from all sorts of annoyances, that even till this day haven't been dealt with, and that means the bugs/glitches and whatnot have been there for plenty of years now. Looking at their past behavior, I seriously doubt they will do anything to fix these "minor" issues, especially with how they allocate more time to 'important' stuff due to the insane user demand. It's perhaps not what you want to hear, but they don't care about you.

It's a common problem in blockchain.info. Ever since I got into bitcoin, the users who's complaining with the same problem are already there. It's been years and nothing changes.

The best solution would be to ditch blockchain.info. i would also like to recommend electrum for that but as you may have noticed, the devs are still in the process of fixing the bug so I would suggest to install it when things have calm down. Then again if it's just a watch address it should be fine.

*Only the users who has no password or weak passwords are affected so always set a strong one

Have you tried right now once again?
As far as I know, blockchain.info requires you to verify your email only if it detected a new login from a Different IP Address or Device.
I can't get what you mean by "As soon as I want to start to access my account twice a day", maybe you mean you are using your account in different devices, then blockchain.info requires you to re-verify your login attemp every time?
That's weird, except if you're using Mobile Data, they(Mobile Network) changes your IP every time you switch Data Connection on and off.

Their customer service sucks, better find another watch-only wallet from the playstore (android) or import the pub key to Electrum (PC).

Does anybody have similar experiences.....
Never happened to me, even once, but I rarely open my blockchain.info wallet (about once a month).

Hy Guys,
since some weeks I have troubles accessing my blockchain.info account (I use it as a watch only wallet for my paper wallet). Meaning: As soon as I want to start to access my account twice a day, they don`t send me the verification email a second time, so can`t access the account again. Contacting the support results in no response at all. I don`t want my login data to be already hacked, so Ì`m actually avoiding any transactions with blockchain.info. Does anybody have similar experiences, or maybe have an idea what I could do? Thank you in advance. Jo
