Ive cracked it now.

I did have it working, but for some reason temperature and fan speed was not being reported.

So i uninstalled everything and done exactly what i did before, now cgminer/guiminer/bfgminer   wont even start!  lol

Back to reaper for me  :-(

EDIT:Now have bfgminer working with cgwatcher

Happy days  :-D

I've now got the 5670  working with cgminer.

I had to use the ati removal tool to completely remove all traces of drivers then download and install catalyst 12.8 drivers.

After reboot i had to then find the opencl setup and manually install it.

Now cgminer works, but get some errors and wondering if people could help?

Now there is no monitor attached and whats the issues with the adl?

Thanks

You could try the Bitminter client. It's not that great in performance and you will mine for the bitminter pool. But, it's got a GUI!  Grin
Anyway, its worth a shot I guess.

Will stick with Reaper for the moment while i'm trying out other clients.     Not bothered if its got a gui or not.

What's the version of your last working Catalyst before you had this cgminer problem?

None have worked with the 5670.   Only been mining a week.   Only reaper works  :-(

The cards never been overclocked

Did you overclock your card?
I only got this error when I over-overclocked my card.

Try mining with Ufasoft  coin-miner.exe (http://ufasoft.com, file is in /files/ufasoft_coin_0.58.exe).
It known as CPU miner, but new versions also use GPUs. And can use stratum pools.

Do you know if this is a secure client to keep tabs on all currency coins?

alg007, have you tried to rollback your Catalyst to 12.8 12.10 rather?

When I tried 12.10, it said it had issues and would not work with adapter.

Hi. My problem is exactly whats described in the thread below

CGminer - GPU0: invalid nonce - HW error   (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/cgminer-gpu0-invalid-nonce-hw-error-179718)

I have tried all of the suggestions in that thread and none work for me.

The only mining software I've been able to get my card working with is Reaper, but i have to use the proxy so it uses stratum.

Now that's fine until i find a better solution as sometimes the proxy takes 7-8 mins to send a reply back!

Are there any other alternative software out there that will allow stratum?  and work with a ati radeon hd 5670

(before you laugh at the card...i've only been mining a week and just sorting out the technical issues before i spend hard earned cash on better hardware)

P.s

I know guiminer/cgminer work as my onchip graphics work properly
