Well, there's a lot more competition now then before, but for some of the older 'cpu only' altcoins, ppl would still use the GPU miners, but not distribute them publicly.

I  guess now the "in" thing to do is release it with some built in fee

ed: eh, fixed grammar.. a little

Isn't more convenient mine cryptonight with the cpu. There is already the miner with GPU! Wink

I'm looking for a very profitable coin with cpu, but so far nothing, there is always someone who invents GPUminer and increases the difficulty! Angry

Whew! I'm not the only one who's noticed then!  Grin

Is that even possible anymore? I've seen so many coins promise "CPU only" mining only to be toppled down by GPU miners and even FPGA's!
Is there even one coin in that vast sea of cryptocurrencies that is truly profitable for CPU mining?

I've jumped from Quark based coins, to X11, to Scrypt-N, and now, Momentum. Is protoshares and memorycoin even profitable anymore?
Try CryptoNight, like XMR and BCN Wink My measly i5-520m from my laptop even gets 40H/s, my simple i5-3470 from my desktop gets 110H/s & my gtx750ti get 240H/s.
So I think that one has a really nice CPU:GPU ratio.

Thanks, I'll give them a look  Cheesy
I've been mining Memorycoin with an AMD FX-8320 and I've barely made a few cents!! XD
