Someone else ran a similar project about a year ago, but I think ran out of money and closed down the nodes.  It would be nice if a portion of the mining reward went to a random full verifiable node on the network. Sadly, it doesn't and nodes and mining are no longer related. I run three nodes myself, but it's out of my own pocket to do so. Hopefully your project gains traction and you get some solid donations.

and why something else?

No reason to beat a dead horse.
from what exactly he died  ?

He? Who are you talking about now? Lets not derail this thread further please.

I dont see any future for XT since its lacking support, the number of nodes is insignificant and does not matter anyway as its dangerous forking mechanism relies on miners. If you have a different opinion thats fine.

If OP wants to setup XT nodes thats fine with me as well, I was just curious as to why as IMHO its apparent that there is no future for it. OP also stated that they setup XT and core nodes and I was curious as to why there are no core nodes yet.

Witch network speed is necessary to run a node? And there is any company selling raspberry pi computers (or similar) ready to use as a node?
Thanks.
