Hello all,

I'm starting a crypto related project and I was looking for some advice on where the best places are to promote/advertise the project and engage with miners/developers/users.

We've got a ANN post here on Bitcoin Talk, a website and a Telegram channel but is there any other websites or mediums you'd recommend for a new project to use when trying to raise awareness?

Thanks!
Ross.
It depends on many nuances, like, will your project go to ICO, or it will be airdrop/bounty?
After that, you could create your own strategy, like goimg to ICO's aggregator, or push many information here in BTCtalk for getting pushed your company,
or create TG program for many users for free tokens, etc.

If you have an idea you need to do the following: 1-writing white paper 2) website development 3) registration on social networks and ICO calendars. 4) requires writing articles affecting your project on news sites such as vc,medium and others. You need to create a buzz around your project

telegram is probably the largest. Here is good as well but I agree with the others. Incubate the idea first, then share some info with others to help build a team. Word of mouth is always the strongest for a new project.

Articles in some top sites like Financial magazine or Forbes, CoinIdol etc will give you good results, but it is applicable if you have money for promotion. If you have not you can make Airdrop and Bounty program.

You should try engagement on reddit channel in crypto related subreddits, you can get a lot traffic from there if you get attention from redditors.

NewAgeCrypto.com is a great resource for crypto information on many topics like this.
Then there is QuestNet at www.questnet.mygamesonline.org which is a new DApp marketplace where you can promote your projects.

Be sure to check out our latest project - MagicEtherBall

What happens when you blend the Magic 8 Ball with Ethereum?
The MagicEtherBall, of course! Need to make tough executive decisions?
Can't decide wether to buy or sell?
Ask the MagicEtherBall and let IT decided.

Hello!
Can suggest you to use social media sources like Facebook, Twitter, Youtube for the videos. If you have an opportunity, you can also add Asian chats - WeChat, Kakao.
Moreover, it's important to manage blogs on medium and steemit - to post news and articles.

You could offer bounties for translating your thread in different languages, have a twitter, facebook, signature and telegram campaigns. Also creating a forum for the community of the coin could also bring many interested people.

Looks like you might have started your crypto project in a somewhat reverse model, if you ask me =) Don't worry, not a criticism, just an observation. I think the very first thing you should have started with is the development of your idea. Which is probably what this section of the forum is for. It's only once you've decided your idea is indeed a good one, has potential commercial viability (or social, if there's any of you guys left out there) and can realistically be built that you seek out said developers and team.

Marketing isn't probably what you need early, rather a communication strategist that helps you develop the information/education/dissemination material you'd need for a start.

I suppose what you're really looking for is a start up management service (again, no criticism there) for those unable or unwilling to invest their own time and effort into building their projects. Then you have the likes of CryptoLife who'll just launch your project and blockchain (or token) for you, or people like IBCgroup and AmaZix who help you get what you need...

Or you could get in touch with some of the incubators cropping up. Depending on where you're located, there are a number to choose from. Or check out SatoshiLabs, WavesLab... NEM has one, can't recall the exact name.

You might want to start a discord server. A lot of people are joining discord as it gives direct access to the project's dev IF they are present most of the time.
