the effort went into the car years ago. actually its not paid off, so the effort is still going in.

Usually people accept pledges/donations for biking/running/excercies because the athlete really cares about a cause (cancer, leukemia, etc..) and is willing to donate all of his or her donations towards that cause... not because some bum wants to get drunk and party across europe..?

Welcome to my new daring project!

Information:

I will ride my bicycle 1 mile(1,6km) for each 0.4 BTC donated.
If/when the distance is above 40 miles(64,3km), I will do ½ mile/0.4 BTC
The date of takeoff is set to 1/8/2011
Wallet is stored on an USB-stick with Truecrypt encryption
The money will be used to travel around Europe, buying beer and partying. So you know you've done a good deed!

Why am i doing this?
Well, I'm the kind of guy who likes to push things to the very limit. I've thought about just taking my bike and just go, straight forward. No
destination.
But I'm also very lazy Wink

However, with the thought of getting payd(also, I love the $$$ Wink

Help needed!

I need help with setting up a webpage where you can see how much has been donated.
I plan on using Instamapper(http://www.instamapper.com/) to track my location with an iPhone. There is possible to implent an API to a website.
How to compensate for the rising BTC and still be able to count distance.

Priority #1 is to get the website up and running with the donation amount and some information.
