Most times its not always the team/bounty manager's fault, there are other things to hope for when joining a bounty campaign, for example the fundraising issue is the most popular problem new projects do face, once they failed to meet their target all plans goes right into the dust bin

The major problem of bounties lies when you are about to make a pick, you need to be so sure that you will get paid, Bounty Managers and project team have to be investigated thoroughly, professional bounty managers will definitely safe you the headache most times, all we need is good research

Bounty scams like that won't be easily stopped.
the solution is stop promoting and don't just random join a bounty campaign. bounty hunters have often been scammed by a project but for some reason they still carry out promotions without stopping without thinking first (didn't learn from bounty scams before).
so the problem is on each bounty hunter itself. if you feel bored with such a situation (scam) you should try switching to other campaigns that pay using bitcoin or eth. the payment of using tokens is sucks.

A lot of projects are scamming Bounty Hunters and taking Bounty hunters for a ride. What can we do to stop this?
of course the scam project cannot be stopped because there are still many prize hunters still promoting it. the cause of the prize hunter's stupidity is a lack of research and just hoping will to get payment. that is why until now scammers have continued to make prize hunters suffer. I hope the bounty hunter does not despair and considers this a lesson to be more careful again before to participate.

Scam bounty can not be turned off completely due to our careless bounty hunters, And i have seen bounty hunters who have been just working constantly, but the project has been completed long time ago, it's kinda of stupidity?. So i think a lot of our commitment to the deficit, so it will not stop. We have to stopped working in looking fishy projects. Firstly we have to detect fake team than it can be easily traceable scam projects.

Bounty hunters are ready for the worst, look around you, how many bounty hunters are complaining? Many are tired of that already and those who can't cope leave bounty hunting for other ways to earnike trading, research is really not enough to avoid getting scammed but i still don't want to stop

I think the bounty scam project cannot be avoided. Before participating in the project, you must do your homework, evaluate the security of the project, and finally decide whether to participate.
Many bounty hunters feel scammed by the fact that developers promise in their campaigns that the prize pool is very high, but after listing on exchange the price drops very much, which means that reward finally turns out to be dust. Of course, this is not the fault of the developers, but a very long bear market and lack of investors. Bounty hunters can't do anything about it, they just have to wait for the trend to change.

A lot of projects are scamming Bounty Hunters and taking Bounty hunters for a ride. What can we do to stop this?

Not join bounty campaigns anymore. That is the most effective solution to this problem I guess. If there will be no more bounty hunters joining these scams, there will be no more victims. There will be no more scam bounty campaigns also because they know that they will end up with zero participants. But for as long as there are participants, scam bounty campaigns will also continue to thrive.
Whether get a reward or not, bounties and airdrops will be an alternative for people to earn crypto for free. So it seems indeed impossible to really want to get rid of the bounty campaign. In my personal opinion, it would be better if we focus on ourselves and really choose a good bounty or no longer join a bounty campaign, but let people who still want to join the bounty campaign.

So they cannot avoid getting victimized by scammer bounty campaigns if joining bounties and airdrops is a necessity to some. If by joining they will be able to have alternative sources of income, then I guess they should just be openly accepting the possibility that they could end up with a scam project. There should be no complaining at all because that is the reality. Choosing good bounty is easier said than done. In reality, even good bounties turn out another scam.
Right, that is why actually complain about bounty is something that the project wouldn't listed. Choices that we can possibly have is, not join bounty campaign anymore or keep join bounties but accept terms and condition of the bounty. I have joined several bounty campaign, but still believe 1 of it will be worthy. And maybe little suggestion, once we see the time is extended, better to change the project. i personally don't like to join with long duration.

Mostly almost all of the ICO's right now implements a long duration of their campaigns since most provably they didn't get their targets and want to get more attention to gather more money and I'm so annoyed with this since it will take long time for user to guess if they will be compensated or not since as of now most of them runs after they successfully gather some money for there investors and they left there bounty hunters hanging and if you don't have a guts and proper understandings for sure you will end up crying and it's better for us to not rely on bounty campaigns and just threat this as side activity.

Nowadays more than 80% projects being listed on bounty section aa scammers only so we need to be little more allowed while we are investing on that projects which is scamming the bounty hunters.
I doubt any big-cap investor would be visiting the bounty hunting section of this forum to look for projects to put their hard earned money into. Sure there are some small-cap to mid-cap traders here, but big whales? Definitely few at this point, many have left the forum completely. They would prefer to use some aggregator site to get all the new projects names and information.

Then we as a participant we need to be written more alert while participating on any new bounty campaigns.
It will not help being "Alert". Being illiterate about what a project is and what its intended to be will make the participant take the wrong decision.

Before joining the bounty campaign, we must first look at the whole, starting from the team, the attractive white paper, the project design going forward, their products and cooperation, so we must know in advance so that the bounty that we promote is not in vain.
If the project only relies on the bounty for marketing or promotion then leave it because it doesn't or report on the "Scam Accusations" board

At the first i know that already but lot of people almost scam, even the project looks good after the campaign was finish those admins can't follow their own roadmap so the impotance of tokens not worth it.

As sad as this might sound there is little or nothing hunters can do, most times hunters work themselves out for more than three months and at the end of the waiting period some bounty managers extends the bounty or refuse to pay with the excuse of hunters dumping down the price of the token, the saving grace that hunters are to apply is to make a background check on the bounty managers track records of bounty he has handled,  do he successfully pays his hunters or not. Doing this wil help you know whether if at the end of bounty you will get your reward or not
Hunters should amalyze the project, set points to consider in joining an project, we should not join because of prize we must know whether the project is legit. We should stop wasting our time doing bounty task so at very first we need to study it before joining.

The most important thing is to check the project and reduce the risk that is created by a scammer to the minimum. Unfortunately, scammers are getting smarter and creating more trustworthy projects that are actually fake. If we stop joining them and we look for only legit campaigns, then maybe scamming bounty hunters will end.

scammers are everywhere you cant do anything to stop them. As long as there are people who joined in a scam project and promoting it scammer cant be defeated.
No, there is a way to stop those scammers. Just don't join in all altcoin bounties and they can't scam you and others anymore. Just join in btc paid campaign or campaign which willing to use escrow for their bounty amount
yes bounties in btc payment are good campaigns to join , but almost all of them are full no more slots so some bounty hunters have no choice but to join in altcoins which has high risk .

Free spots in BTC paid campaigns appear quite often. However, the condition to get into the campaign is to write good quality posts and, above all, useful for community to receive merits, which are also often needed to get a spot in a BTC paid campaign. So you have the choice: to improve the quality of written posts, or join bounty campaigns, which recently are mostly scam.

They control everything they set up the rules, they can change the rules, they can lock the token, they delay the distribution, any kind of cheats that there is, they will do these poor bounty hunters, the only way we can take a revenge is to make a report in the scam section and ask people to support a negative flag and ask investors to never buy their token, or better take a vacation from these ICO bounty campaigns.

yeah it seems like that's the only good way to avoid scammers, I'm sad that a lot of prize hunters are only paid with junk coins or crap from scamming bounties and some prize hunters switch to BTC paid campaigns, i think that's is good because the chances of being fooled are very few. scammers indeed is can not be stopped but we can avoid it.

If you know a project is scam you would not promote it would you? Bounty hunters are more or less informed about things like these and their lack of intellect and critical thinking makes them victims. They know that the bounty wont be paying well even if its not a scam one but they still promote them like their life depended on it. You cant make these red-pilled bottomfeeders stop by just telling them unless they realize the truth.

The only way to stop this is to stop supporting scam projects and if some idiot bounty hunters didn't know what is a scam project then let them get scammed because they don't learn or even bother to do their own research. It's been around here for a while these bounties who keeps popping up like a wild mushroom but only few of them are worthy for bounty hunters.
Let those blind hunters to keep being victimized, it's a matter of good research and better understanding with the projects that you are going to support a lots of scam but if you do your analysis and you carefully assess if there's real potentials and if everything inside the road map do have real possibilities then you can proceed. Without that best not engage to avoid wasting your time.
I feel sorry for them because they are trying to make some money here but in order to make some good cash you have to know everything about of the said investment or projects that you are going to help to promote. If you don't know anything about them then it would be a waste of good energy promoting some scam project.

Majority would really be hoping for some possible good pays with their shit coin without even realizing that they are just basically wasting up their effort and time on doing things which doesnt even considered to be paid up in the end of time.
Its all fluffy and warm when you first start doing it but you see the bad effects after some time, if you know what I mean Grin

Its true for these bounties too. But they realize it later, just like any other newcomer. We try to do out best to tell them to not take part in altcoin bounties but take part in this forum which can lead to a better rank in the long term and they would be able to join the bitcoin campaigns. But few actually listen. First timers are the biggest victims of these waste of time hunts.

They still think 2017 bull run will happen every year. How you expect them to understand the truth?

We cant do anything to stop this scam projects to continue to exist but we can do something to prevent ourselves joining in such projects.

Make a research and dont believe easily with high rewards. Much better if you will only join in a campaign that pays in btc or eth weekly so you dont have to worry that you'll not get paid after months of your effort to qualify for the rewards.

many people which is difficult to identify whether this is a good project or a scam, most of them see the number of prizes. we should have a discussion thread about the project so that we can sharing whether the project is good or bad, but unfortunately, this is difficult to do, because when people get a really good project, they will choose silence, so that not many people join and he gets results the big one.

The focus of bounty hunters just money, so as they will try to take a part with bounty campaign which pay its participant with the large amount of money. They don't care with whatever project even some of them just directly join without any know the ins and out of the project. Whereas, the developer of the project itself is extremely need the performance of them.

These things cannot be used by bounty campaign as an advantage as they wanted. Such as to get paid in form of stable coin or the coin which has been listed on the exchange. So when the project end up to scam/shitcoin they have been paid because the payment system will occur once a week such signature campaign which paid in btc.

My conclusion is, I won't blame scam project that always be popping up but I just deplore to the bounty hunter's behavior as if they were worthless. I mean, they aren't focus to the function of the project that will be used in the future, the team behind the project and the bounty manager that being trusted to manage the bounty program but they only focus to the reward that will be obtained.

Easy to say that but in reality, it stinks.

Unfortunately, but you can not protect 100% against scam. In my opinion, there are only two things you can do to reduce the risk of being cheated:
1. Choose only campaigns run by trusted managers (they should verify the credibility of the project before cooperating with it).
Even they verify, it doesn't guarantee that they won't get scam as even managers are also the victim unless they are paid in advance right before they launch the bounty.

Quote
2. You need to verify by yourself if the project is credible by checking the dev team, whitepaper, roadmap, etc.
Some projects made everything perfect so we won't doubt and besides paying some bucks to professional web designer and content writer will be nothing on the amount that they can run of.

Will be very hard to stop it, to make a lot of people not join that scam bounties will need a lot of things to do. Maybe if me, just start by ourself, let'd do research first before join in project, or maybe make investment when we think the project is really good. Maybe with that, a lot of bad project will dissapear only in time and then what just left is good projects.

The idea that a project could be legit and get them a lot of money after the campaign is very lucrative to bounty hunters. Its not that bad to think they could earn but before joining they should evaluate the project first whether it could successfully launch and will be used by people on the internet. This isn't 2015 anymore where the ICO can generate a lot of funds because the team doing it are passionate and dedicated to what they are doing. Joining campaign of these projects is like contributing the scam. Examine the team and their projects properly.

Opps! You just wondering that ICO projects just scamming bounty hunters. Did you wonder that so many investors getting scam due to bounty hunters? They just start spread the word about a project before done their own diligence. In a result, so many scam ICO's even with fake team/plagiarized whitepaper raised fund and skipped eventually. You can stop it avoid shady projects. Don't jump to the campaign before research, spend sometime to realize the conditions. Check their concept and team how effective. You can't expect good return from bad projects by the way.

If there are joiners, they will never stop. They'll get free advertisement from you guys so if you can't find a reliable bounty, don't join random bounties.
Or better yet stop joining bounty, it's quite unreasonable but if you guys will stop joining then these scammers will also stop. While the 2 years are enough to wake up that doing bounty is just a waste of time and it wouldn't regain anything that had happened in 2016 and 2017.

However, I believe that the percentage of bounty hunters had lessen and only those new in crypto are just the one who are joining.

A lot of projects are scamming Bounty Hunters and taking Bounty hunters for a ride. What can we do to stop this?
Stop joining bounties. As simple as that.

Bounty campaigns run because the bounty hunters want them to run.

It is because of the false hope that this shitcoin is going to become the next bitcoin that makes the hunter join, but then just think about it, would so many piles of shitcoin really exist if they were all going to take over bitcoin? They are all lies and projects without any development. If you become an advisor then you pump and dump the project when you feel like. Whats good in that.

Bounty hunters are even less than that, they would never be able to voice their demand nor sell their token because it has zero value in the market.
People should stop on joining these bounties but we know that getting rid of these projects would continue as long there would people who are willing
to promote that shit stuff. Majority would really be hoping for some possible good pays with their shit coin without even realizing that they are just basically
wasting up their effort and time on doing things which doesnt even considered to be paid up in the end of time.

I know that is their fault being scammed. Ive joined campaigns that has been scam before and its inevitable to sometime fall for this. Even some Managers that is famous has been fooled as well but I'm not blaming them, I just want them as well to do a legit one and not just accept some projects because of payment.

I believe as member of this forum "They have this responsibility to do this for the sake of their own members here"

If I'll handle a project for a bounty, I'll make sure it is worth to be promoted and rewards will be given to those deserving. Of course part of it, is giving them a real legit one.

As sad as this might sound there is little or nothing hunters can do,
They can. But they dont wish to. What they can do is spread the word to boycott all bounty campaigns and stop their friends from joining them too. Sadly few people are willing to take an initiative and it will fail because some hunters will not accept this cause.

Quote
most times hunters work themselves out for more than three months and at the end of the waiting period some bounty managers extends the bounty or refuse to pay with the excuse of hunters dumping down the price of the token, the saving grace that hunters are to apply is to make a background check on the bounty managers track records of bounty he has handled,  do he successfully pays his hunters or not. Doing this wil help you know whether if at the end of bounty you will get your reward or not
Background check does not determine outcome. It is still a gamble. It depends on whether the project can raise money and that nobody can say for sure that the hard cap would be reached. Also add that 99% of ICOs have been bullshit and worthless tokens, there will be no change in this market at least for several years from now. So they are a waste of time. Bounty hunters should participate more in what this forum is about and bitcoin than wasting time on shitcoins.

As harsh as that may sound, that is the bitter truth. Although not all bounty campaign ends up badly. It would take a lot of effort to find a legit one that would succeed and will not turn out to be a scam. I remember back in the old days when doing bounty campaigns is still profitable 'cause most projects succeed. Nowadays, you'll either end up holding a bunch of useless no-value tokens or be dragged to the bottom with the project you are promoting. Sure, we can suggest to OP and all bounty hunters do to hard assessments, make a thorough research about it but let's be honest here, most bounty hunters will not do that since it's so time-consuming. Most would jump in and join without any hesitation especially when promised with hefty rewards.

To avoid scam projects, the first thing I see is the manager of the bounty project, if the manager is very trusted and the track record is good, I don't hesitate to join, for example, like Yahoo managers, we as bounty hunters already know what he looks like. But there are also good managers who can be fooled by a scam project. Even managers can get caught up, especially us. For that we also have to do our own analysis of the project, like the Team, we have to check one by one the team, and the other has been described by friends here.

I'll say this bluntly, it's hard to avoid this kinda scammy projects. At least you could do some preparation so, yeah, it could make it less scammy. Do your research first about the related projects that you're planning to join. A good result of your research doesn't always mean that it is a good project. As long there's participants who are willing to join, scammers always there and everywhere to take advantages of bounty hunters to promote their projects so they could scam investors. And the other thing is, try joining a bounty that pays weekly or something.

the way is quite simple stop working on the bounty that gives their token gifts.
do bounties that only pay you with BTC or ETH.
There is also a bounty that has been registered at CMC which is a project that is already running and traded on the exchange to avoid scams but obviously the results are definitely there although not too large.

Theres no way to stop this but completely those bounty hunters would stop on joining up these projects. Scammers using up these bounty
hunters to widespread up their shady project and in the end you wont receive anything from your hard work and time which is completely wasted.

Since crypto is anonymous then tracking those fake teams would be hard that's why its pointless if you do tend to fight such right.

Bounty hunters should avoid dealing with the scammers and their connections. They have strong networking skills which is good for attracting the inexperienced bounty hunters. The bounty hunters have to make their own research and should write down the reasons why he wants to join the bounty campaign. If the project is going to be listed on big exchanges, I prefer to ignore this part of the research and join the bounty campaign.

A lot of projects are scamming Bounty Hunters and taking Bounty hunters for a ride. What can we do to stop this?

Huh?

Here how things exactly work.

Bounty hunters are hired to help spread awareness and build a hype over the space so it will attract investors to help projects to make money out of it. From this, which one got the most loss? Bounty hunters or investors? Think about it.

What is needed to discuss about is how to stop scam project from hiring bounty hunters to steal investors' money and not about to stop projects from scamming bounty hunters.

It's just the samw in my own perspective. If you stop the project by scamming bounty hunters then you probably cut the project awareness to the public and only minimal will be scam. Some projects do scamming only bounty hunter by not paying them the right amount that was stated during bounty program while they continue the project and list on exchange which does not affect investors.

investors lost money they dont loss efort because they are only waiting for thier money to grow but bounty hunters are the ones that do the job however bounty hunters dont invest any money  .

the question is actually the same as what your trying to pinpoint here  . they are unstopable but its now easier to tell if the project is scam or not  .

A lot of projects are scamming Bounty Hunters and taking Bounty hunters for a ride. What can we do to stop this?
The best way to avoid this is to join the trusted bounties. Or join bounties of trusted BMs such as arteezy and bublex. Otherwise, you do not know what the result will be in the bounty of suspicious projects. Also, it may be possible to rectify this problem, but we do not know how the devs will react. A predetermined amount is taken from the project owners and can remain in escrow until the bounty ends. In this way, the projects work more smoothly to avoid losing the collateral.

ICO and IEO market are struggling to raise funds. They both will become obsolete by year-end. This was meant to happen after so many SCAMS. Therefore how can you expect them to pay you guys?

Except for Signature Bounties, all other bounties are a waste of time. Ensure that you join a bounty that pays you weekly. Find bounties that pay you in ETH or BTC. Those who pay only accept Members and above. I know it is hard to find one but, that is your best chance.

In the meantime try earning some Merits by creating constructive and good posts. It will help you in the long term.

There's not much you can do. Just do a better research before joining any bounty campaign. And try to join the bounty campaigns organized by the rely managers on the market.

You can start by doing research and always see updates on every project you take part in. Being a bounty participant takes a lot of time before joining and promoting new projects, there are many projects here but all are not scams

Ensure to do a thorough research especially on the team and their past activities. For instance, You can imagine a project launched its bounty program sometime in July 2018 that's last year which am pretty sure they didn't pay hunters. Just a few weeks ago, same project launched a bounty2. I found out they are yet to pay hunters for Bounty1 in my research. I backed out of it. I don't care if it later turns out to pay. What matters most to me is, I will never promote scam projects again.

You can stop the future projects but if any project did this in past then you can make them into negative tag by bringing this case into scam accusation and the manager also might get tagged but we can't make them to pay because they are scammers and will never come online with the same projects, they will use different name and the same strategy so bounty hunters need to stop the things.

Do your research and stop not following the bounty scam. Don't promote fake bounties if you already know, report immediately so that they can be quickly blocked. You can look for other bounty campaigns. Research is very important before participating in the bounty, reviewing the campaign and notifying the public if the bounty is indicated as a scam.

By reporting together, we will be able to fight bounty scams and reduce them, so that the original bounty campaign can succeed and can pay us as bounty hunters.

This is a never ending battle for bounty hunters. And it will not stop because people are so gullible to join or even invest on those projects. The only weapon we can used it common sense, if the project is so good to be true or offering huge amount of tokens in the first place then think again. Maybe they just wanted to tempt you by offering attractive rewards in the beginning, so just be careful, research first so that you won't waste your precious time.

Unfortunately, bounty participants can't stop these scam projects but rather we can avoid it thus our effort won't be wasted for nothing. Scam projects are not new in crypto, it exsisted even before the boom of ICO way back in 2017. It's not a new problem that we can not experience if we'll choose wisely.

That is the consequences of making a spam in the forum. Bounty projects that are scams are spreading like a virus in here so does the spammers also. Getting rid of scam project is the hunter's responsibility you need to do a research and read the white paper and the people behind the project. That is a simple task to follow.

if you have a site or blog that is popular with crypto, You can tell people about the scam project on your site, or you can report a scam project on a site that talks about scams, I think if people want to join the project, that person will find out about the project, if on the internet a lot of negative reviews about the project, surely people will hesitate to join.

We can't stop scammers to scam, it's their choice not ours. What bounty hunters can do is to avoid those scam projects.

Not all can be avoided of course, but doing research would help a lot to avoid many, especially now that there are members here in the forum who exposed scam/fraud projects as much as they can.

Bounty hunters should pay attention to bounty terms as well. Afaik there are bounty campaigns which states that there will be no payment if the ICO fails (correct me if I'm wrong). If the hunters accept the terms and still join despite that, then they should not complain at the end if their hardwork weren't paid.

This is a free market meaning there isn't anything anyone can do about the ongoing situation of hunters getting aduse as slaves. The only way to avoid been scammed is to stop patronizing bounty campaign, the previous trick of joining a campaign because of the reputation of the managers, aren't even save this days as there isn't any guarantee of getting paid. Sure the manager might not have the intention of scamming the hunters but since they don't have a say on the project filling their promise of token distribution you can't blame them most times as all they do is just management of the participants.

To also minimize the risk of getting scammed you can build up your account to be eligible to participant in bitcoin signature paying weekly campaigns especially those managed by well know manager as funds for the campaign are usually had by the managers.

There's basically nothing you could do because they can create a lot of projects, continuously, and possibly scam some bounty hunters. It's their strategy, and there's just nothing you could do. The only choice that you have is to ignore it and don't do any bounty for them, that's just it. I'm not sure if there are good bounties left, but I know what you could do to have the right actions.
  • Investigate if the Bounty Manager is a trusted member of the forum
  • Check the background of the project that started the bounty
  • Legitimate check the people involved in the project

The most important thing, if I were to join bounties, is the manager. Once he is trusted, I know that he would be able to deliver.

Perform a standard procedure and often done is to check who is the team behind the project and don't be lazy to read the white paper. do not believe in excessive and unreasonable commissions, because it is very certain that there is no commendable action behind them. if you find a project like that do not hesitate to report and inform, so that not many are trapped.
