Honestly bitcoin will not interest many of the Occupy Protesters. I was at occupy Philadelphia for a day and nobody there seemed to care about it  Angry

So if I say "I am Greg and I'm an ass", do people just take it for granted, that I'm a cool guy..Huh? Huh
then your name would be "assgreg" duh.
Okay this is cute, so what sickness do you have? I might be ill too, but I went for a different sort of name, a different design standard for naming than the system you prefer to use.

I'd also like to point out that all donations from the group Anonymous (who funded nearly all of the startup) was done through bitcoins.

With the world falling apart, and big brother monitoring and tracing every dollar we spend; even restricting the use of cash in louisiana in all secondhand sales.
Now is the perfect time to educate the masses about the advantages of using bitcoin.

Or make Bitcoin shaped shields (cardboard, not real ones) for symbolically protecting yourself against the police riots. It's also symbolic as a shield against the tyrrany of the banksters.

[edit] Newspaper hats, Bitcoin shields, and pickets signs could be the uniform of the Wall Street occupation army.  Grin

Perhaps a big sign shaped like a Bitcoin would suffice, as you could also bludgeon people with it :3

There were a couple folks working on Operation Bitcoin to introduce OWS to Bitcoin... I've dealt with a couple OWS people myself... Half of them seem to love the idea of Bitcoin the other half think it's a scam/fake money.
It's definitely an uphill battle. Sad

Doh, Late to the game as always. Thanks for the links, I'll throw some BTC into that way.

As for the name, I am Bob and I am Evil. That is all. I'm just thankful I got EvilBob and didn't have to add any crazy numbers or underscores to it. I really get angry when other people take my name on the internet.

Not a scam just a thought someone else already had.

Someone should introduce the Occupy Wallstreet movement to bitcoins. They could just forget all about the unfair economy and use Bitcoins instead. It would make everyone happy. grab a bunch of BTC 0.1 Casascius Coin's from the general discussion thread, Or something like them and distribute. Maybe Bitcoin could piggyback on the OWS movement and get in the news again.

I would donate some coins to purchase the promotional materials or to see a video of someone handing out BTC to the masses.

Just a thought.
