I think that after this topic your account will be worth very little, since other users probably will watch your account more carefully. And upon realizing that it was sold, they will put a negative tag. This will remove your account from any good signature campaign. I think the best thing to do now would be to give up that idea of selling it. =)

Any other ways of proving a bitcointalk account is yours except signed messages?
Most of the people here would just accept a signed message from a previous posted BTC address as also the administration would not recover your account mostly if you cannot sign a message.

I am personally against this as there could be any incident in any persons real life where he could loose the control of the previous address. And this is pretty much common and also acceptable as per my point of view.

I would rather support more options for a person to proof account ownership. And also a very old suggestion of adding 2FA to the forum which would make the account more secure and easily recoverable ( not sold  Wink)

I wanted to sell my account but buyers need a signed message of my btc address i posted months ago and that address wasn't mine anymore due to an update made by the web-based wallet i used (coins.ph)

are you contacted coins.ph support ? may be he can give you acces to create signature or you can give screenshoot to prove your address Smiley

How can i prove my account? i never posted my address before, only on PM transaction with members here.
If you have PMd other members any address, you can still try to recover by this post: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/recovering-hacked-accounts-or-accounts-with-lost-passwords-497545
The principle is the same as publicly posted address, the only difference is you need a PM ID.

So the admin will read my PM that i sent to the buyer and everything is ok?

yes. as long as you use the proper template like the one from that thread.]

apparently badbear won't recover account that was already sold by the hacker. I don't know if it's the same with theymos tho.

Have you ever posted your twitter or fb account name for some giveaways or probably social media campaigns in the past ?, if yes and you are still have control with those accounts maybe it will help you to verify that you are real owner.
Can't remember, i think i only posted my email(i used to register here on bitcointalk) here

I found two emails from your post history.
[email protected] (post)
[email protected] (post)

plus a skype account named prettymm01. might be useful
Is one of the two emails used in your account? If yes,  Probably you could ask buyer whether they accept the verification through the other email or skype! There is little chance the hackers would hack your account  or other independent email at the same time!

Yes, i still have access to those 2 emails and to my skype, i hope some buyer will consider that as a valid proof of ownership

just to inform all users, coins.ph is an exchange and you can't use their address to sign.

Nothing really concrete, but can you not take a screenshot of the address if it's still logged there on coins.ph? That may satisfy some but not others but someone will likely buy your account without a signed message but it'll fetch less and I wouldn't recommend it.

im using coins.ph too and the old address for each account is changed and no more shown in the account.

I see , but the address wasn't logged in there anymore, it was replaced with a new one

This is why you shouldn't just use exchanges. I'd suggest associating an address with your account asap. Someone then may accept it as proof in the future though it wouldn't prove your account wasn't hacked before then.
