2FA is just another security measure, if you are good at hiding your info and not exposing it to the public you will be safe.
our profile has the option where to hide or not the email we are using, thus, we need to make sure that our email add is different from the username we are having.

Plus I think the idea of 2FA is generally wanted and has been discussed quite a bunch of times in Meta I believe. I often times wonder why there is no 2FA myself as it does seem like it would serve to be a good security tool.

I think you posted the wrong place. It is best to find the answer in bitcointalk administrators or to contribute their ideas Undecided

Hello.
How it all began.
I am leading the topic * to protect accounts on bitcointalk. Often people are wondering why there are no 2fa (Google or SMS) on the forum and the like.
It is clear that it is not easy to implement, and whether it is necessary at all ?!
I decided to ask a question to the administration and forum participants here.

Questions to the administration of the forum :
-Is it possible to require confirmation of this action by mail when changing the postal address in the bitcointalk account (the confirmation link is sent in the letter to the last address)? If not, why? This technical capability should be in the SMF engine 1.1.19. (The easiest way to protect).
-What are effective?alternatives to restore access in addition to the standard account binding to the BTC wallet?
-Does donate unblock the account?
-When will there be a new forum or how to influence the acceleration of the process of its commissioning? What to do?
... 1. Implement 2FA administration forces in the old forum (the administration will collect the funds and pay for the creation of the patch, or other way).
... 2. What exactly should users do to significantly speed up the process of entering a new forum (if the conditions are met, then exactly when everything will work).
... 3. Another, your version of the topic of the petition.
 +Question to forum participants :
Do you need this kind of protection (confirmation of mail change in your account) or not? What is your opinion?
And what proposals are there for the administration?

+The resulting sentence is from questions .
