Where are the airdropped tokens coming from?

I don't fully understand the motive of such airdrops, they encourage holding but they also increase supply and once the airdrops are done there will be a lot of dumping. They don't seem to be very beneficial in terms of a long term approach to price growth.

Also, you should mention that you need at least 1000 coins in your wallet and you must not move any of it in order to be eligible for the airdrop for each month.
