Hey guys,
I've been scratching my head with this for a while and I hope someone has an answer for me.
So I have 6 GPUs the saphire RX 580 8Gb Nitro+ , to power each GPU you need 8pin+6pin connectors, I am using the seasonic prime platinum 1200W here is the link: https://seasonic.com/product/prime-1200-w-platinum/
This PSU has 6 sockets for PCI-E and CPU , so 1 is obviously taken by the CPU leaving me with only 5 for PCI-E. Problem is that this comes with only 4 cables 8/6 pins, so I can power only 4 GPUs.
I was able to get adapters Molex to 8 pins and Molex to 6 pins, however when I plug it to the remaining 2 GPUs, the  PSU starts and shutdown (indicating probably an issue with the power).

Any idea how I can fix my issue? I think 1200W is powerful enough for these 6 GPUs. Maybe the Molex to 6 pins or Molex to 8 pins is too much for it?

Thanks

return the psu

build a second rig

run 3 cards on each rig  using this psu
