If you (anyone) were going to purchase an ATX power supply today which one would it be?
I may end up with a few S3s or SP20s, just depends on a few things, but I want to start scoping PSUs.
I have been drooling over at the Corsair website and researching about running 50% - some folks say 80% is better for quality and longevity.
Also, I'm not cheap, but I want to be smart about things, do I have to babysit ebay or is there somewhere I can pay an extra 20 and find good used, or what are your thoughts?
I like new better because of the warranty with things like ATX PSUs, there is a "known" failure rate, and I do not want to get one of those models. I understand in some situations int he crypto community everything is AS IS, but DOAs are generally covered right?
What about for miners?
Thank You
well evga 1300 g2 provides a psu trick switch with the miner. has a ten year warranty and runs 3 s-3's at freq 231 24/7/365
I would not say it is covered but the fact they give a psu short plug helps you to think they are covered. Somewhere there is a long discussion about this on this site. I own 7 or 8 evga 1300 watt g2 psu's and they all work so far. If one failed I would ask for a replacement. I don't really care if it has fine print since the short plug is a real piece of evidence to me that they allow the psu to run without a mobo.
