Are my thoughts on this right 850 watt psu at 80% efficient would be
850 *.2 = 170
850+ 170= 1020 at wall? So that would mean I am running my psu at full load then? Since my kill-a-watt never goes 1020  would mean at very least I'm not going to over load it. But I will be stressing it a lot?

I google but can't find a definitive answer on it.

When I type my information into http://www.extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine.
It says I need 850 psu
4x7950
H60 liquid cooled CPU 1 case fan and all cards are under 68C and a CPU that take from 28 watt low end to 100 on high end. I keep the CPU speed locked down for the less draw.

A larger high quality PSU would be the preferable option. PSUs are fully capable of frying everything they are hooked up to, a cheap one is not recommended.

How long do you think it will take to burn out a corsair 850w gold psu. The psu is pulling 1000 watts at the wall. 4x 7950 ltc mining. Bit coin mining it pulls 900 watts at wall.

Would I be best off powering 1 card with some cheap 400watt psu?
