I have Silverstone st1000pt 1000w psu and 5x 5700xt ..i was curious that psu will enough to supply all of gpu..and i have another 850w psu for mb,ssd..etc..if is not enough, your recommendation of psu ?
Using 1200W Platinum PSU for underclocked/undervolted 7xRX5700 for ETH and everything seems to work well.

Im using Windows...hmm im running other 4x 5700xt in TMR on 1400mhz without any problem..
1400mhz-750mV
..but for now i leave just one 5700 xt  on 1400mhz -975mV..running for 24h without problem..so we will see

I try even that..so for now ..if i put setup on 5700xt 1400mhz and 750mV..gpu dont want even to start mining..i try 1400mhz 850mV works for almost 24h..now i put 975mV..and see what happends...and overclock is stock..didnt want to touch ..

are u mining in windows or a mining OS?
1400 is high for TRM in the default b config
the devs say if u push memory and core to max in b config it can use more power than normal

i run all my 5700/xt at
1320Mhz 750-760mV core
895-900Mhz at 775-800mV mem  (samsung needs at least 780 i think) (micron can work down to 760 but i had problems)
going to 805-810mV on memory can help stability, even with higher clocks of course
micron memory can overclock high than samsung from what i noticed and others have shown while actually mining
but all my cards run mostly stable around 900Mhz on memory
anytime i push anything above 905-910Mhz on mem i get reboots

memory temperature is huge for 2 reasons
main reason is a run away temp on memory will crash card
so u have to make sure ur fans are cooling the memory before it goes above 98C

2nd is memory will degrade with 24 hour operation above certain temps
micron will degrade above 94C with 24 hour operation
samsung will degrade above 86C with 24 hour operation
if ur mining in windows u will prolly just need to set ur fans to 75% depending on specific GPU
hiveOS and a lot of other mining OS give an option to cool the card based on memory temp instead of gpu temp

some times even other gpu..i change risers as well..pcie slots as well..with 5 gpu working well one day or sometimes few hours, and just crash to 0 mhs..i was thinking its problem with gpu..but i did some benchmarks..gpu work fine..games as well..really strange..right now rig works with 4 gpu without any problem.

Did you try to plug 4 cards on Silverstone 1000w PSU and 5th card to 850w PSU which is used for motherboard &...?
Just to be sure is your PSU is enough for all 5 cards.
did you test the ram memory?

use 4 on this on and get a second mobo.

part of the game is taking what they give you so to speak.

the money is in cards not mobos.

here is my one fuck you Phil mobo

at this point in time it will be boxed and sold as a dead board as it crashes with 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 or 6 cards

I even use other psu just to supply mb,cpu,ssd..so wierd..im out of ideas Smiley

whether it always happens with the same GPU card, same riser or the same PCI-e slot on the motherboard? Also, did you follow temperature and power consumption at the moment of GPU off?
Did you try to add power to the 5th card from another PSU, or to use the second PSU reserved for MBD, SSD, CPU...

edit: 850w is enough for one GPU and other computer hardware.

Yes and working well..no issues..
Very strange silverstone 1000w delivering 83A on 12rail it makes nearly 1000w and 5 5700 on eth mining 130wx5=650W+100w your cpu ssd= 750W. when you change psu let us know how it ended?

Rig working few hours, and then one of gpu lose mhs..example 55mhs to 0 mhs..and show like gpu is dead..!! I check risers one by one works well..stock gpu work some period and again on 0 mhs..undervoltage as well ..if i put 4 of them..then works without problem..

This happens when you either overclock or undervolt too much. Try dialing it back a bit on the GPU that is failing.
Yes correct, add some mv until it is stable

Assuming you are mining ETH, 1000 watts will be enough to power 5 x 5700 XT plus MB, CPU, etc. but only if you undervolt the GPUs. If you wanted to add more GPUs in the future you can get a little device called add2psu to connect the 1000w and 850w PSUs together. One thing to keep in mind though is that If you are using risers you need to power the riser and GPU from the same PSU.

Ohh ok..thanks for quick answer..i have few psu available right now..
Inter-Tech SAMA FTX-1200-1
KOLINK KL-C1500PL 1500W
Silverstone ST1300-TI..maybe some of these..or any other solution ?
There is no other solution than buying more powerful power supply, 1400 or 1500 watts will do just fine

According to some videos and articles that I read, that GPU can consume from 200 watts to more than 250 watts at full load. I don't think it is safe to use a 1000 Watt PSU for 5 GPUs especially if it doesn't have good efficiency. Maybe add another 1000 Watt or 1500 Watt PSU just to be safe.
