My question is about btc.
Some wallets generates one public address from one pk ; needs to send them all in one transaction [with many inputs] to one address. Some other wallets, i observ one seed phrase that generates many public addresses all referred to one balance. Would anyone please explain those differences and if this is the same with other altoin wallets.
Correct me if am wrong in some details.
If you use the seed for backup you can backup lots of bitcoin address/public addresses that includes on seed but if you are just backing up one public address or bitcoin address you can only have a private key which you can import to other wallet providers.
The seed has many private keys that you can export from a single seed so if you use a wallet sample electrum wallet and you import the seed to it then you send bitcoin to each public address you have in electrum that includes change addresses the total amount will be shows on electrum wallet in total amount of all of your bitcoin to all public addresses.
Look at this image below as a sample of the imported private key.
and here is the imported seed looks like.
As you can see there is a difference between private key and seed.
Seed includes all private keys and public addresses while private key only has one public key.
Sorry for blurred image I just got the image from google I just want to explain it more clearly.
