There’s a saying that goes bad publicity is still publicity, if people are genuinely interested about bitcoin, they will try it out before judging it.

But the new waves of "users" are far less useful or relevant users than the ones that came before them.

You can tell that because the number of transactions being sent per day on the BTC network hasn't increased by the same percentage that the price has - while the price has risen by about 1700% or more, the number of transactions has less than doubled.

Also, the transactions themselves are less useful.  You can tell that because the volume of Bitcoin has increased from around 100-500 million dollars at the start of the year to far over 10 billion dollars now, so far more of the transactions are going back and forth from exchanges.  Also, Steam and Fiverr no longer accept Bitcoin, so merchant usage is far harder.

Bitcoin already mainstream, day by day i seen bitcoins on tv.
but whatever not all understanding what is it. One time after reportage about bitcoins i am ask what is it btc, and i have answer "some little coin" ))

I don't think it is already mainstream as even less than 5%
of the world population currently uses Bitcoin.

Bitcoin has still a lot to go from here.

Bitcoin price is rising since last month. So do its popularity. Bitcoin is there since 2009, but came to light since last two months because of sudden rise in price. Many experts including governments calling this sudden rise in price as speculation. According to them this high price is a bubble which can burst any time. Bitcoin is a decentralised autonomous currency, it works on peer to peer system. That is why no one is there to defend these allegations against bitcoins. Bitcoin needs publicity, bitcoin exchanges must came forward for this. they can arrange seminars on cryptocurrencies or on bitcoin currency. After all it will help to raise their profit.

I agree on your point of view. There will be panic buying on the coming weeks. Bitcoin is spreading like wildfire on our society. A good time to hold our bitcoin.

Good or bad, it’s still publicity. I can’t wait to see the faces of the skeptics and naysayers when bitcoin goes mainstream.

Yes, I think it needs to be held publicity. Therefore, in my country there are also people who do Seminar Bitcoin, Seminar Cryptocurrency. The purpose is clear, namely introducing the World of Cryptocurrency to the crowd. So people know what Blockchain is and its usefulness.

Well said and I think we will get exactly that in 2018. If not we will get one huge step closer towards that mainstream adoption in 2018. People can keep denying where the market is and this bubble that will happen but they fail to realize exactly what you pointed out. This market is vastly different than anything else we have seen before like I alluded in my last post as well.

Recently many "experts" from mainstream media were criticizing Bitcoin by citing an anecdote back from Great Depression that when shoeshine boys start to talk about stocks, it's time to sell. This argument has some basis, since an influx of clueless newbies means that the asset is likely to be overbought and there will be many weak hands on the market, but Bitcoin is not a stock or investment vehicle, Bitcoin is a public network created for a new economic system so new users is exactly what we need. Even in scenario when the price will drop and many of them will leave community disappointed and frustrated, some of them will become enthusiasts and Bitcoin's community will keep progressing towards our goals of trustless peer-to-peer economy.
