IOTA from it's start was always in notice for various reasons. This all sums up at least to one conclusion, the team behind IOTA is unprofessional and irresponsible.
There are many reasons for IOTA to fail and is a risky investment at current time.

You are a fool if you think you are going to sell at these prices to the whales and be smart. IOTA is currently at a price from where it started its last rally. These are rock bottom prices and you wont get a better price then this to buy more and you are talking about selling at this price.
Probably everyone just thought that it's bottom for IOTA, the was affected the most by this bloodbath. but yeah, it looks strange that coin value is rising when everyone else is falling.
I don't think iota was going that much up. Look at the charts on coinmarketcap and you'll see that at the same time eos went up more that iota, while cardano and bitcoin cash were also going up, but a bit less rapidly than this coin. All these changes are so insignificant that it doesn't even make sense to discuss them. I believe in iota as a project and I hope it will manage to solve the problems it has for now with security. I have never seen a project so different from all others like iota is. 
I am fond of IOTA and rather prefer the price to be high again as I have bought so many dips since December that I can now buy a ton of different gadgets and sell it with with lot success to my friends who got shaky with each new dip.
