When price went up, do some research before follow up. Is there a real progress or just a pump. As a newbie, I fall into this trap once, don't let FOMO to take over you.

in short, a group of wealthy people buying the coins and create a sense of positive growth/uptrend of a coin. And then dump happens, when people blindly follow just because of rumors and green chart.

Whare are you get the accuracy if the group was the real pumper's group? it can't be determined by the way. A lot of group just try to make the group name as a pumper to fool another person to join in there. I remember the new member must pay a little fees.

Ok so what is quicker than twitter and youtube apart from being a insider?

There is a hierarchy of people that manipulate the price/exchange rate in the exchanges and lots of people fall in this.

There are groups of people who are the "bosses", then there are private/early pumpers that pump the price and then there is the next layer of people mostly by invites or small fee that invest in these, and some other that join free groups to "pump" and get lots of loss.

Don't believe it, there is a saying that if it's on Twitter on YouTube it's already too late for these type of sitauations

next question is it possible to predict some way which coin will be pumped next?

lol if we know that, we are not be in here . big whales are pkaying with small currencies. they make 2x or 10x in a week and 0.2x in a few hour.

it's not a universally appreciated strategy, but i like to keep a small part of my portfolio (≈5%) invested in a few pump & dump coins. that way it is easier to monitor the price trends and sell in a good moment of the pump. i've found this strategy to be fairly rewarding as long as 3 conditions are respected:
1. buy ONLY at historic lows
2. invest  in coins that have a clear track record of being pumped often and hard over time, but also show decent community support (ensuring that the project will live on and not fade leaving you with worthless assets)
3. anyways, put only a fraction of your investments in this game

whether the same money wouldn't be more profitable if invested in legit coins varies and depends on lots of external factors, for ex., in bullish market pump and dump coins are somewhat neglected, while they go stronger in bearish season. for what concerns me, i've found putting some money in shit coins to be an additional mean to diversify my portfolio. also, it has been a way to get to know  projects that have later gone big, entering them while still largely unknown (for ex. Antshares/Neo). which means that it has been a bit of work as well, but certainly not worth nor requiring entire days in front of the computer! all this said, better forget quick gains in 24h - those might happen once, they won't happen twice.

On Twitter I read, that DigitalNote (XDN) will be the next coin which will be pumped.
Its 60 now, people say will be pumped to 125

but it's always very risky to invest in coins they announce. You really need to be extremely fast to buy a coin in 1-2 sec after announcement in order to sell it in 10 sec with a profit, otherwise - you loose.

Do yourself a favor and don't join any pump & dump groups.  You will end up loosing money.
The organizers of those pump groups buy in earlier with their friends and then tell their group to buy that coin to pump it, and the organizers sell when everyone is buying always making money.  In the long run you end up loosing.  You can tell people end up loosing cause the pump and dump groups keep disappearing and new ones appearing.  If everyone was profiting, the groups would never go away.

Pumped coins lead to BAGHOLDERS - people who buy at all time high and get stuck holding the coins that are not worth what you bought it at

I know it's tough, but honestly you need to buy a good coin with good technology and hold it. If you feel bad missing profits just think now how bad you feel when you buy a pumped coin and its value plummets when a whale exists and drops price in the process

I have taken advantage of this correction to buy some TKN, waiting for the beta release on October 2

Also often its simply impossible to predict unless you are an insider.


But there's occasionally an obvious one. For example. TKN is very cheap now, but october 2 the beta will finally be released, there will very likely be a anticipation pump around that time.

Also sometimes I think there a ''pump season'', in such a season lots of coins will pump, and it wouldn't be that stupid to just buy some cheap unpumped coins at that moment, and then patiently wait for it to pump. This doesn't always work though, and sometimes coins are so shitty they won't even get a pump.

Also many people are on twitter, announcing their "analysis" of a coin, if there's enough followers, they'll pump like the analysis ''predicted''. A famous one I know is Cryptoyoda, although I think he's less active than he was before.

PUMP Groups make money from PUMPS, not people joining when it's already started

The way I understand this and I might be wrong is that this group of people selects a shit coin with small market cap and volume and than silently buy coins for a very small price for a couple of days/weeks.. and they keep the volume down so nobody notices it.. than on some exact date and time they start buying all at once pushing the price up 100%-1000% and than people who don't understand this join in because they want to make quick & easy money..

And guess what, when you start buying the PUMP group is already selling.. to YOU! 5 mins later it can be over and those that bought are left with worthless coins.

I also saw it fail one time when a whale had a shitload of coins and was present at the exactly right time

I fall in this trap once, you did, everybody does.. don't!

Almost every day i see some pumped coins and i am sicking tired of not making any money on this. Its looks so easy to make big profits in just 24h. For example unbreakablecoin lately. The problem is that i am always too late to put some money into the pump, and when is already high i am affraid to loose my money. Last time i do that on Syndicate and lost some money on 17-18.07 . Ofcourse i was too late for this pump.

Who is doing that?

And next question is it possible to predict some way which coin will be pumped next?

I am also here for long term investments in altcoins and this is my main purpose to be here.

I am just wondering if you guys play on this ridiculous pumps and make money on shitty coins?

Or just forget about that and invest long term only? Please tell me! Is that worth my time sitting all day on my laptop?
