It was the Bitcointalk forum that inspired us to create Bitcointalksearch.org - Bitcointalk is an excellent site that should be the default page for anybody dealing in cryptocurrency, since it is a virtual gold-mine of data. However, our experience and user feedback led us create our site; Bitcointalk's search is slow, and difficult to get the results you need, because you need to log in first to find anything useful - furthermore, there are rate limiters for their search functionality.
The aim of our project is to create a faster website that yields more results and faster without having to create an account and eliminate the need to log in - your personal data, therefore, will never be in jeopardy since we are not asking for any of your data and you don't need to provide them to use our site with all of its capabilities.
We created this website with the sole purpose of users being able to search quickly and efficiently in the field of cryptocurrency so they will have access to the latest and most accurate information and thereby assisting the crypto-community at large.
-snip- at the beginning of the entry, I forgot to include my imagination on the devil fruit "Gomu-Gomu" which I fully poured into the pumpkin carving work. this is indeed the right seasoning and will make it even more delicious. I always have a guideline that every work I make must have a philosophy on the theme being contested. Creating a work without something unique and interesting and without a story will look bland and unimpressive. Strive to "Out Of The Box" in every work
These comments about what you were inspired by when carving a pumpkin add charm to the result of your creativity. Frankly, at first I did not immediately pay attention to these swirling patterns on your pumpkin, but the result turned out to be very interesting in its own way. It's one thing when it's just a carved pumpkin, and quite another when the author explains such important nuances. This afterword adds "the right spice to your dish", but it would be even better if you communicated it right away by posting the first photo with a pumpkin. I would never have guessed that your pumpkin is related to a demon from an anime, but I confess that the combination of these two themes turned out to be excellent. Halloween demon pumpkin - what could be more terrible. What would it be called? Demon Pumpk-pumpk?
Nice to see so many members participating here!
As promised, I've left a good amount of Merit for valid submissions. I really didn't expect how many members will participate here, so it took over 2 hours to review submissions and distribute almost 400 Merit. Great job everyone and many thanks to ChiBitCTy for organizing this pumpkin carving contest. There should be a Pumpkin Badge 🎃 along with the Art badge 🖌️ and the Pizza 🍕 badge +1Would be nice to introduce a pumpkin badge. -snip- The pumpkin is thicker than other fruits to carve. It was also the first time in my life to carve fruit, after previously I only carved in wood for some furniture decoration. It seems that we are in the same country which is full of traditions. Where I live the Halloween tradition doesn't exist, I only see it on television shows and in family movies. But this time I was able to participate in the Halloween special pumpkin carving contest it was an amazing experience. My expectations at first would not be as lively as this, but after a few days I posted many new participants had started entering, although there were some who did not use pumpkins (there were any pumpkins available in some places or regions) so they used other fruits. The inspiration for the carving that I applied to the Pumpkin Fruit was the carving that I found on the "Gomu-Gomu" Fruit (Demon Fruit in the Anime Movie "One Piece"). simple doodles but good enough for a pumpkin. Thank you to all participants and everyone involved, this is a great contest. Best regards for everything. Your list is definitely all favorites of mine, but being a big Marvel fan I had to go with rat03gopoh’s Vemom. Man, I'm touched. It was made wholeheartedly, haha... Tbh, was the first time I've carved a pumpkin especially how to create a gradient effect in the carving when it is illuminated. Luckily I used to carve fruit years ago, it wasn't difficult to guess the thickness and texture of the pumpkin which was almost the same as the fruit in general, so it only needed one type of cutter.
So many great entries! My favorites are: It's an honor to be one of your favorites. I'm happy this year I can participate even though the pumpkin I got is quite difficult.1. KrispyKrypto 2. polymerbit 3. BigBos 4. geophphreigh Whatever the result, thank you for @ChiBitCTy for the event, congratulations on running all the stages well.
damn, all the contestants made me confused but after a long deliberation, my choice fell on @bigbos, you have a great talent
You are asking to pick one which is a torture for me LOL. Fourth time I wanted to vote for one. But I could not. But this time I was able to make a shortlist. I like my boy LFC_Bitcoin and many others such as lovesmayfamilis, GigaBit, Ryu_Ar1, ajiz138, smartaction, KrispyKrypto, xSlyy, Shaha98, xsyren, Dubaian including so many more. I will try next time to shorter it again. I know, very hard to decide. If I run this again next year, which being so well received I likely will, I’ll allow something like 3 votes per user. So many great entries! My favorites are: 1. KrispyKrypto 2. polymerbit 3. BigBos 4. geophphreigh I was going to ask who your favorite was. So many of the entires are really well done. Your list is definitely all favorites of mine, but being a big Marvel fan I had to go with rat03gopoh’s Venom.

With a large margin in the Pumpkin Carving Contest, taufik123 is in the lead (25% votes) and the closest rival scored ~10% votes, judging by the preliminary data. I assume that the leader is unlikely to change during the week of voting, because, according to my observations, the majority cast their votes in the first days. Of course, some forum users will vote in the coming days, but their number will be smaller and it is unlikely that their votes will affect the final result. Therefore, I will very carefully congratulate the favorite on his pumpkin. Now he will not only take all the prizes in art competitions, but also in the pumpkin competition. Yes taufik123 should get a Pumpkin badge "If they win!!!!" There should be a Pumpkin Badge 🎃 along with the Art badge 🖌️ and the Pizza 🍕 badge currently held by fillippone! Imagine being able to amalgamate all three badges, that would be something although "2 out of 3 ain't bad"

Maybe next year don't hold it in collectibles? I understand the prizes where collectibles but the content itself wasn't, these type of events can be sponsored by makers and held on other boards (such as games and rounds) to bring more attention to the collectibles section in the long run likely bringing more revenue to makers, sponsors and active members that frequent collectibles. Games and rounds is just a bunch of scammers, that won't help

It would be kind of nice to have multiple votes, theymos even proposed some ideas in this realm but for the first time doing this I wanted to keep it simple. I'm not sure having the extra votes will really do anything anyhow, in terms of selecting the winners. Again, as I've stated a few times, this is my first time and a bit of a test run. Next year I'll take the feedback that seems to make sense once I look back at how everything ended up. taufik123 But i wish if I could vote for more then one participant. same here, I wish I could vote for few, 3 would be sufficient to pick all I like the most yeah @Taufik123 you got my voice too I also wish I could vote for more than one participant, maybe next year this is something I'll work with Theymos on implementing (if he so graciously volunteers to help out again). I thought that option is there by default, isn’t it? Because I see there’s an option to choose “Maximum votes per user.” Won’t that work here? I mean if we allow more than one vote per user. taufik123 But i wish if I could vote for more then one participant. Thanks for the code, I did replace it with yours. Much much appreciated! I also wish I could vote for more than one participant, maybe next year this is something I'll work with Theymos on implementing (if he so graciously volunteers to help out again). Honestly so many of you guys did such an amazing job! It's hard to see some of these that haven't gotten votes that are VERY deserving. There's about 10 entries I really love. I would list them out, but I don't want to do any unfair promoting or make others feel bad. Just know that all of you did a great job, and if you did a more detailed pumpkin with no votes yet, know that many of us love your work, know you deserve some recognition etc etc. Thanks again everyone for participating !! Note: I'm still waiting to hear back from Theymos for Contest #2, so stayed tuned!
A lot of talent in this forum, Hard to choose just 1 winner, great job everyone that participated and thanks ChiBitCTy for making this possible

Please use this table, the images will load much faster. I replaced all the URLs with small images (from imgur with m) and the same height and width to look elegant. I will edit my post if you accept the code, to avoid duplication. Edit Done

But i wish if I could vote for more then one participant. @OP, candidate can vote ? I think they should be excluded because not all of them meet the voting requirements, some candidates are still newbies and Jr member and according to the rule only member+ can vote. Which rule do you mean, I can't find any rule in Thread 🎃 [ANN] Bitcointalk Bitcoin Pumpkin Carving Contest 🎃 about who is eligible to vote and who is excluded, there I only found this.Quote How will the winner be picked?: There will be a poll ran from Oct 31st to Nov 3rd. I'm not 100% sure how I will run it, but will try and get some feedback from the community on how to most fairly do so. Please chime in if you have any ideas! Op is very open to running the vote, if you have any ideas on the fairest way to do it can leave feedback here. I will remove sorryfor 's photo as soon as I learn how without messing up the code as I just did a moment ago Like this?? If you need anything to edit the table, feel free to knock me on PM @ChiBitCTy I don't think @sorryfor should be on that list, the pumpkin he submitted for the contest wasn't his it was just some image he downloaded from the internet he didn't carve it himself so I don't think it would be fair for him to be contesting with other users who made theirs themselves. Looks like he downloaded the first pumpkin image from herecompare the date while the second has already been reported by @John Abraham here, my guess is that you missed it. @OP, candidate can vote ? I think they should be excluded because not all of them meet the voting requirements, some candidates are still newbies and Jr member and according to the rule only member+ can vote. It'll won't be fair if some candidates able to vote will others are not able to vote. I don't think you should worry about it. My pumpkin shouldn't be taken as part of a contest, either. Therefore, of course, people are not blind and will make the right choice, especially since, I think, you should not take the contest very seriously, since it was invented for entertainment. But now, seeing the gallery, one can definitely say that very talented people have gathered at our forum. Thank you, and I'm going to take your advice. You're right this should just be looked at as fun and not taken so seriously and you're also right about all the talented people we have around here! I will remove sorryfor 's photo as soon as I learn how without messing up the code as I just did a moment ago (and ask no one vote for them), but them being in there isn't going to make a difference. I can't remove them from the poll as it can't be edited, but again, it's not going to make a difference in the end even though as whomever actually did create it did a good job, it's not going to be in the running with so many other more detailed ones that have been created by members here, lets be honest). Secondly, the rules are the rules and were stated before I even opened this poll up. Unfortunately some wont be able to vote on theirs and others more senior members will. This single vote is not going to make a difference in the end I'm confident of that. Also If I disallow candidates from voting then that means more work for Theymos as well as a published list of who voted for which pumpkin, and I think most of us would prefer this remain anonymous. Next year I'll keep this in mind but I'm not going to change the rules at this point. Again, I'm doing this for fun, everything has been donated, this is free for contestants, and as I said before being my first time, it's not going to be perfect. @ChiBitCTy I don't think @sorryfor should be on that list, the pumpkin he submitted for the contest wasn't his it was just some image he downloaded from the internet he didn't carve it himself so I don't think it would be fair for him to be contesting with other users who made theirs themselves. NOTE: I didn't realize I couldn't edit a poll post, nor add a poll inside of a post that already has a poll... so it looks like for contest #2, I'll have to run a second thread. I will be posting that shortly.
Edit: I'm chatting with Theymos about this real quick before I move forward. I'm going to find out if there's a way to add a second poll in this thread, if not, I'll be opening a new thread. So for contest number 2 be patient please, I'll either be posting it in here, or in a new thread before long. (A big thanks to Theymos/Cyrus and everyone else who helped out along the way!!!!)
