Tucker Carlson was fired out Fox because his lies and the lies of those he interviewed about the 2020 election in the United States cost Fox almost 1 Billion dollars to Dominion voting Systems, in the biggest defamation lawsuit of the history of the United States. After making his boss to lose such amount of money, it is to nobody surprise someone had to be fired. right?

Tucker Carlson is not an idiot, he is pretty much aware of what he does and he is very good at it, he is someone who sell fear, he is a fear-monger a pawn for propaganda, who is at the service of the Russian government and in favor of the Republican party. The most interesting thing and also one of the most obvious things is that it is just matter of time for him to get directly into politics and not only being a piece of the propaganda machinery for his alleged allies. He will eventually go for the Presidency of the United States, thrus he needs to stay relevant and keep his influence on the Republican voters in the long term, after Trump is gone, he will try; perhaps he may try first to test the ground by running for a seat in the senate, time will tell.

Pretty ironic Tucker show so much criticism against the government of the USA, which allows him to say whatever he wants, if he was born in Russia and tried to critic Putin in the same way he does to Biden, he would be dead in less than one year. Guaranteed.

All of the Fox News cast members lie and lie. His replacement probably lies just as much as he does.

I suppose it's possible his firing was part of the Dominion settlement, but it doesn't seem like you would have much trouble finding somebody else to do Tucker's job for a lot less salary. Have their ratings for his time slot moved down at all?

I agree he could be eyeing the presidency after Trump goes...

Curiously enough, the Fox ratings moved severely down when they tried a more balanced approach - you know, like saying that Trump was not right in something, like minuscule stuff. They simply cannot do anything else, because they have the audience that they have built: People who only want to hear one side of the story or even just "a story", meaning a fictional story.

So yes, Tucker is a fiction theatre actor - thus an entertainer.

I have seen segments of Fox where they explicitly say that Trump did not won the presidential election in 2020 and when they interview someone who is an election denier they close the interview saying to their viewers (very quickly) that the election was not actually stolen and there was not evidence of fraud. They have obviously learnt about their legal mistakes and are not willing to allow it to happen again if possible. Foz from the beginning is not about news, or is a propaganda machinery for the Republican party and the extreme right of the United States and the anglo sphere as a whole, when they start to admit their were wrong of those topics: like election fraud and the defeat of Trump, together with the firing of Tucker Carlson, it is obvious they were going to lose viewers, it was matter of time.
Since Tucker does not have to response to a boss, since he has gone freelancer now, it is easier for him to touch even more polemic topics, which would not be broadcast otherwise.

He has no boss, but he is not free from being sued. Freedom of expression is well treated in the US, in the sense of giving lots of leeway to say nearly anything, but if you are blatantly lying about a company (e.g. dominion) and it can be proven that you knew you were lying, you will get sued and will bleed money beyond measure. So Tucker should be aware of what can he say and not say.

BTW, Putin's interview is at least consistent with what he has said before: Ukraine is part of Ruzzia based on historic rights, it does not matter what Ukrainians think about it, thus if Ukraine wants to join NATO and EU they are not a liberty to do so, because I rule Ruzzia and say so.

To be fair, in order to successfully prosecute caes of defamation, as far as I know, it is not enough to successfully prove the accused entities were lying, one is supposed to also prove beyond reasonable doubt there was malice or ill intentions behind those false declarations. In the case of Fox it was easy because the prosecutors bot access to the nails and phone texts of the personel behind the channel and the hosts of the shows, where they truly showed their colors and actual opinions about the "news" on election fraud or election interference.
Tucker Carlson, in this context cannot easily be sued by anyone in the United States, though I have already read people talking about the possibility of him being targeted by sanctions for his interview to Vladimir Putin, though if Biden administration. Takes that step it could only further radicalize those who are in favor of Tucker and believe he United States to be under a bad influence or whatever. It was the same irony with Trump: prosecute or not to prosecute.

Lol. You are so worried about a few piddly $million that might have slipped into the wrong pockets among Reps, but you simply love the $200 billion that the Deep State used to support all kinds of Ukraine activities, and Middle East stuff to the detriment of the whole economy of the US.

Where in the world are you from that you can be so anti-American?

So you would literally let Trump steal money from you and you'd still want him to be dictator* of the USA (as he promised he would be).

Good to get this on the record...  Cool

(* No dictatorship is in any way "American").

Also, $200b is less than 1% of the US GDP. You should make up bigger numbers than that. Try $20 trillion next time.

And, of course, the flaw in all that you say here is the way Trump is being handled in the courts.

The Deep State is so against Trump because he will destroy their evil if he gets the chance, that even if you thought well of Trump in the past, their wicked words have poisoned your mind against Trump.

So Trump's people can literally steal the money you donate and you won't ever believe it regardless of the evidence, so they can do this with no fear of adverse consequences--so they will almost undoubtedly continue to do this because they'd be idiots not to.

The amazing thing is, I suspect there are millions in the US just like yourself.

Trump was looking for a second term to finish what he had started.

He couldn't do anything with control of the House and Senate in his first term, and his voters don't care.

At minimum, he certainly won't be motivated to do anything in terms of policy, because voters like yourself will always have excuses for him.

As a side note, does it ever make you nervous to give one man that much power? Given everything we know about Trump's personal character, what makes you think he will actually care about you if he becomes president?

This is a man who ripped off people's life savings before he was president (TrumpU), and pardoned a man who was convicted of ripping off cash supporters of Trump just like yourself (Steven Bannon).

Legal and illegal aren't the only things around. There are moral and immoral, for example.

Are you seriously bringing up morality while promoting Trump's reelection? Seriously?  Cheesy

The Deep State is so against Trump because he will destroy their evil if he gets the chance, that even if you thought well of Trump in the past, their wicked words have poisoned your mind against Trump.

All you need to do is compare Trump with the individual people of the Deep State. And compare them in the same way that they are expressing Trump to everyone. If you do that, you will find that Trump is almost an angel compared with the members of the Deep State.

Of course, you may have all kinds of reasons for being against Trump, other than his good side or bad side. But if you are simply an honest person, and simply have been poisoned by rhetoric of the Deep State, take a deep look at the individuals of the Deep State and see that they are worse than Trump could ever imagine being.

So, you don't want a bad person to be in control of America. Great! I don't either. But we will never get perfection. So, let's get what is better rather than what is worse. Let's get Trump. Because he is far better. His record in office proves it.

But the way you badmouth Trump without being able to answer the good he has done, is starting to make everyone understand that you are simply a Deep State flunky, probably paid off by Soros or Schwab. At least paxmao has the excuse of being a Polish warmonger who thinks that leaching off the US is right.

Trump's 'followers' base their ideas about Trump on his performance...
[...]

Trump didn't build his wall, didn't deport all of the immigrants, didn't kill Obamacare, didn't... do any major thing he promised to do except make his followers feel good that somebody like themselves was in the White House for four years--and those followers haven't wavered an inch.

I don't really think it has to do with his performance on actual policy, I think it only has to do with the way he conducts himself, e.g. the "feelings" his followers get from him.
I wouldn't want to deprive you of your opinion.

Trump was looking for a second term to finish what he had started.

Your opinion there is kinda funny. You sound like you are in favor of Trump, after all.

Legal and illegal aren't the only things around. There are moral and immoral, for example.

The bad things that people are accusing Trump of, are being done formally, right out in the open by the Deep State. It might be business, but people are getting fed up with that kind of business.

You don't seem to have an answer for the possibly 600,000 deaths that the current regime has fostered. Yet you pick on Trump like he's the bad guy.

Actually, that's the reason why Trump might select Tucker. Trump's 'power' is based in free enterprise, often known as 'The American Dream'. To uphold his own power, Trump needs to keep free enterprise available for everybody... in America. It's called MAGA.

Lazy, ignorant people like to leech off the wealthy. They call the wealthy dictators because they are too lazy to get out there and work themselves into wealth. Or too stupid to try.

Here is where the dictatorship exists. [...]

No, Trump's power is based on blind followers who will accept absolutely every single thing he says as true e.g. that the 2020 election was stolen or that Putin's propaganda is true (because Putin helps Trump get elected, which is the only thing Trump knows about him).

And in the last 10 years Republicans have abandoned the "free enterprise" stuff and now want more government stuff just as much as Democrats do, just targeted at their preferred demographics.

Put it this way: I suspect that you would still vote for Trump regardless of who his VP selection is, and I suspect that's true for 99% of his voters. If that's the case, the smartest thing for Trump to do is pick somebody who does not threaten him.

(If you read your history, you'll see that dictators always do this: they end up being surrounded by morons who give them terrible advise because anybody with a brain is a threat to their power and when you are dictator competence doesn't matter).

My money is on Trump picking somebody who is so politically weak on their own that they would have no political power whatsoever without Trump.

Tucker, like so many Republicans, is setting himself up for when Trump's age takes its natural course. With Trump getting more incoherent every day, it doesn't look like he'll need to wait very long. I very much doubt Trump would be able to survive for another 4 year term for instance.

Regarding dictators, I certainly could agree with what you say. And all the easier considering the current president and regime.

Trump's 'followers' base their ideas about Trump on his performance... https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.55119252. The current regime leaders have performance of helping to murder as many people as 600,000 in Ukraine and Israel/Hamas/Palestine... something that wouldn't have happened if those countries had not been supported with US funds. Trump never did this kind of thing. In fact, just the opposite.

Look up on Youtube, Trump's UN speeches. Trump is a guy of peace... or so the evidence shows. If you are going to fear somebody, fear the jokers behind the current Regime, who are impoverishing Americans with their inflation-producing, money-borrowing tactics... tactics that are killing thousands. Do you really enjoy supporting mass murderers?

Your talk might be sweet, but it is dictatorship directed if it is against Trump. Nobody seems to be able to come up with a list of Trump bad-in-office stuff that approaches the size of Trump's good-in-office stuff listed in the above website.

At first glance, it seemed almost as if popular revolt and a resounding rejection of their "Global Reset" agenda had instilled a sort of shame in the self-proclaimed elite. But instead, 2024 reveals the usual suspects yet again doubling down on disinformation, and characterizing themselves as "trustees" of a world state of their own design, with dire consequences for individual freedom in the emerging era driven by AI surveillance tech.

I suppose it's possible his firing was part of the Dominion settlement, but it doesn't seem like you would have much trouble finding somebody else to do Tucker's job for a lot less salary. Have their ratings for his time slot moved down at all?

It is common to find useful idiots everywhere, there is always someone willing to take the coin and to the job. However is far less common to see how the useful idiot is called "useful idiot" right in the useful idiots face.

As usual, among all the lies, Putin sometimes has a element of truth in what he says: Tucker is effective not a real journalist. He was ejected from Fox because he is simply not a journalist, but rather a cheap wannabe propagandist.

I personally don't think he's an idiot at all, but rather a collaborator with our enemy.

And I think Tucker was ejected from Fox because they replaced him with somebody cheaper without losing and revenue.

Guaranteed.

Imagine how this interview is going to look in the history books...

This whole situation with Carlson seems kinda sketchy if you ask me.  I mean, here weve got this presidential race going on, plus the Republicans are trying to block aid to Ukraine and  then Carlson goes and interviews Putin out of the blue? Come on.

Putin seemed pretty smug about the whole thing.  He basically told Carlson flat out that if the US stops sending weapons to Ukraine, the war would be over "in a few weeks".  Not exactly subtle.  Clearly Putin sees a guy like Carlson as useful idiot to spread his message.  And Carlson will get a good financial benefit from the network from all this... So, win-win!

I agree with most of the stuff you have said about this interview Tucker had with Vladimir Putin, however I highly doubt Tucker Carlson accepted money from the Kremlin to further keep his show up during a very long period of time, I don't have any doubt this interview was viewed by Putin as a chance to send his message to an important percentage of the American population who identify themselves as Republicans and in favor of a second presidency for Donald Trump. Though, accepting money from Putin could put Tucker in some serious legal troubles in the eyes of the American justice system, he could be tagged as a foreign operative in American soil. I know he is running as an independent media owner now, so he will likely need some money to keep things going, but he is not that stupid or desperate yet. He will likely try to capitalize of this interview indirectly, by catching the attention of the public and the media, making people to visit his website, see advertisements or subscribe to his service. It is a win-win situation for both of them and also for Donald Trump. It is a lose situation for an United States which wishes not to further suffer from foreign intervention in their politics and elections...

From the article:

"This is a hilarious [crap] show. Putin is now 28 minutes into his history lesson. This is the 3rd time Tucker tries to interrupt and Putin mocks Tucker for just being an entertainer and not a serious journalist. Tucker tries to fake laugh it off while Putin emasculates him."
