I think it's great that President Putin is very serious about the business of cryptocurrency adoption in his country. I hope crypto will be allowed in all countries in the future.

What do you think?

Personally, I'm not really a fan of Putin and wouldn't really trust him. Putin is a mobster of the highest order, everything he touches and speaks to is tainted and corrupted. The whole world knows this, even the guys running the bots and propaganda systems for his benefit know it. Also, Russia was supposed to launch their own mining department.

With that being said, if Russia were to invest in Bitcoin, I think SOME countries would follow very rapidly, so it might be very bullish.

Thoughts?

This is just great lets spread the word so most of the people will be aware with this news, expect some rally with bitcoin's market for the upcoming days because most of the people will follow russia's footsteps as well as these countries that are hesitant about cryptocurrencies. You are right most of the countries will start studying how these cryptocurrencies could work with the existing fiat system.

Hello everyone! I was very pleased with this news, as I have great respect for Putin. A really smart, strong President to be proud of. And the best part is that it keeps up with the times and leads the country. If all this is implemented,it will benefit all.

Another PR move from Putin, which is not supported by anything. Now any cryptotrader in Russia can be put behind bars, saying that he is laundering money. It's impossible to prove anything in court.

Im sure most of the russia's allied countries will start to think of accepting cryptocurrencies, putin is right they need to get into the industry because the technology is evolving, most of the people in the world will know how the cryptocurrencies works, putin knows that if they didnt do something about this, they will be outdated with the technology.

Russia is leading in blockchain technology because their government is very supportive. Several ICO's I see is from Russia or from country surrounding it. Since then, Russia is very affirmative about cryptocurrency, and Putin as a powerful person endorsing cryptocurrency is a good sign.

Thanks to Putin, not only representatives of Russia's financial industry, but also government officials, who can create a well-thought-out legal base for digital money, have been thinking about cryptocurrencies.
Perhaps this will be a good example for other countries!

Whatever Putin says about crypto and bitcoin, this is shit. He can change his mind at any time. Bitcoin exchange Ethereum or Putin Coin (which is already traded on the exchange). He's just one big misunderstanding.

i believe, in couple of years, ther will be more regulations and dow jones kids will accumulate into crypto market

for sure they see that it is not possible to ban or stop cryptos, so they have to adopt earlist.

All this sounds like a good one, it has been done several times already. However, Putin says one thing, and then an official lowerly interprets everything the other way around, then another commission is created to regulate and ban all this until Putin again says something good or even uncertain about the crypto currency. So it was already repeatedly. I want to see specific laws, only then it will be possible to comment something. In the meantime, it's still a bit early.

Wait few weeks and Russia will come up with another statement where they ban every activity of miners or/and cryptocurrencies.
Ther are going back and forth for years now, i do not believe that anything is changed and dont give much value to any Russian news whatsoever .,

Sounds too good to be true but we are still hopeful that a world leader would embrace any new trend of technology like blockchain technology  and i believe that Russian government and their people are aware in this technology and they can easily adapt it because Russian are good in innovations and mathematical prowess.

I think that this is not true, maybe its attitude to blockchain is positive, but still I think it is negative about crypto-currencies in general, but most likely it will not support bitcoin, because most likely the economy of the country will not work stably.

Totally wrong, they made some anti Bitcoin remarks in the past like so many did, but they are moving/moved towards totally accepting cryptoworld and trying to make it as attractive possible for investors to move to Russia. They also made a pact with other countries to allow/accept cryptos in the region. Ministery want to legalize it and they will be one of the first countries to launch their own National digtal coin.

I'm not sure about that. I remember about Russia will be trying to issue its cryptocurrency. Or if this just a rumour. But the time will tell us about the fact.
The fact that news is contradicted by putin's last statement of Russia will be issuing or creating russia cryptocurrency just like what has happened with Venezuela.

Russia has very intelligent crypto developers, and Putin is very influential there. If he endorses it then the whole of Russia will get behind it. I think all the other countries should be more relaxed about bitcoin otherwise they will be playing catch-up with Russia. Not something they want to do!

Agree with that actualy etherium is made from russia already and russia dont have any problem with crypto currency maybe a few year later in the future russia government will start accepting crypto currency as mode of payment.

Yes its a definite positive for cryptocurrencies, as slowly countries and government authorities are trying to figure out the pros and cons of bans or acceptance, for everyone looks to be a part of innovation and progress, without losing power and maintaining control. Hence, this endorsement can prove to be a stepping stone for said policies.

Well I just saw the actual video in youtube and it was exactly what I predicted... no mention of bitcoin at all, only some vague statements about "blockchain technology".

Im afraid that they are going to sell their own russian centralized shitcoin to the masses, but the good part is, Putin seems like a smart guy, so if they don't let people own Bitcoin, im sure that him and everyone that is smart will load up on Bitcoin while they sell russian shitcoin to the uninformed ones.

The world is now a chess game in which countries must own Bitcoin to be relevant, whoever starts first will have the advantage and whoever starts first will start the chain reaction to a massive bullrun of countries buying BTC reserves.

I agree to every word you say. I guess there is a high chance that many countries will follow this way. Huge amounts of money are in opposite of the crypto market door. But this door is closed yet due to the lack of regulation. As soon as the world will compose suitable regulation they (money) will get in and this will become the cause of a huge surge. I believe that this will happen and this will be the greatest shift in the crypto history.

Yes. If they use some scamcoin e.g. create something like VVP token (v.v.putin), it will not make a sense. But if they make crypthocurrency that you can be easily exchanged  to gas/oil/coal that can be real deal.

Oh yeah, I hope they don't create a putincoin and then the u.s. would be forced to createa trumpcoin... Grin

As long as there's no corruption in here...

I have watch the video with keen interest  and observed that President Putin is very serious about the business of cryptocurrency adoption in his country. He does not want his country to be left behind in the scheme of things internationally. To me it's a welcome development for him to introduce cryptocurrency to Russia officially. It's going to be a big booster to the price of Bitcoin and altcoins in the crypto market

I think it's great. Powerful people accepting that blockchain is here to stay legitimize bitcoin, but the problem is if they are going get crypto reserves in any other coin that isn't bitcoin. If they are serious then they will add a big bitcoin reserve in their portfolio, just as they have gold reserves. If they get scammed, they will load on ethereum or any other shitcoin. And there's also the possibility the will issue their own cryptoscam instead of just accepting bitcoin.

If it turns out Putin is talking about bitcoin, then yes, other countries must follow or they will be left behind.
