Putin on Russia's national interests
as causes of Russophobia

Once again, Putin accuses the West of Russophobia and infringement of the rights to the legitimate interests of Russia (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w25jC6CIosk) in response to the sanctions with which democratic countries are trying to limit Russia in its encroachments on the established world order. So what constitutes Russia's legitimate interests? If we turn to the facts, Russia under Putin unleashed a war in Chechnya, returning it to the bosom of the empire, unleashed a war in Georgia and Ukraine, having torn away part of their territory. Further, Putin regrets the collapse of the Soviet Union, describing the liberation of many peoples as the greatest geopolitical catastrophe, and the military actions of Putin's Russia point to its attempt to rebuild the Russian Empire within its former borders. Thus, under the national interests of Russia, which Putin cares about and which are its legal rights, they mean nothing more than revanchism (1,2,3), that is, the infringement of the rights to freedom of other peoples. As soon as Putin was in the Kremlin, I intuitively understood what kind of person he was. In many articles I spoke about the danger of this person for the World, comparing Putin to Hitler (4,5,6). Unfortunately, not understanding the essence, namely the mentality of the Russian people with its great-power worldview (7), on which Putin relies, can lead to the implementation of Putin's revanchist goals.

The softness of European politicians, and American ones too, especially President Obama, not to mention George W. Bush, who called Putin a friend who was condescending to Russia's revanchist aspirations, was the reason for today's exacerbation of the political situation, even more dangerous than during the Cold War. It amazes me how impudent, one might say boorish, behavior of Putin and his representatives in the UN Security Council in dialogue with the West gets away with it. It's time to isolate Russia as a resurrected monster from the era of lizards from the civilized world, before it's too late. By the way, today Russia in fact, taking into account historical materials, seems to be the most aggressive country (Cool and Putin essentially does not change anything in its image.
