For example, one member deposited 1 BTC and now he have 3.5 on return (more than 1 BTC he obtain randomly).

::)Yeah, one specific early adopter made BTC. Nothing is being generated, money/BTC is being taken from new members and given to old members. Look at the stats: 226 members, 13 have profited.

Don't get involved unless you're unethical and know a bunch of schmucks you can convince to join.

Only 40 members have deposited (something). Usually less than 0.1 BTC.

Why is MaybeCoin better than a pyramid scheme?

  • No waiting! When you send me your coins I'll either send you double your coins back right away, or I'll send you nothing. Either way you'll know right away!
  • No cheaters! I choose the winners randomly based on my personal whims. No-one can game the system!
  • It's guaranteed! Everyone who invests is guaranteed to possibly be a winner!

Step right up folks!  Grin

Actually, it's not bad. The most interesting conception there is that if you make any deposit you have a chance to obtain so money randomly. For example, one member deposited 1 BTC and now he have 3.5 on return (more than 1 BTC he obtain randomly).
So, some more motivation strategies are in development. But it's always good to join a pyramid in the beginning. But there are almost no reason to join it without any deposits (with 0 deposited you don't have any chances to receive a random prize (even if system will choose you)).

A small percentage of early adopters make a profit, everybody else loses. The person who started it is the only person guaranteed a positive return. It's inherently unfair, and if it was done using USD it would be illegal.

Be careful with scams on the newbies. No one is that nice to give you 1.7 times bitcoin for no reason. There has been a lot of scam websites that mushroom that are only around for a couple of days or even just a day.
