When the crime is done it takes years by the authorities to identify how the crime is done, sometime the cases remained unsolved. The scammers are scammers because their mind works differently and how they do it most of the time they are not been identify by an average mind. Prevention is better than cure. Stay away that is what we know about scam.
People that need sharp sharp cash fall into this scams. Most of them have websites to operate this loans..once you enter the site and sign with your bank details, they would use those details to hack your bank.

For the record, most scammer that operates in this way usually ask you for some collateral, transfer the double amount of the loan you requested from a stolen account which they will ask you to send the balance to their client through Western Union, etc or ask you open an account which they later ask you to provide the account login information in case you may not pay back the loan but the purpose is to send money from a stolen account into the account you open with your own information so if the authority wants to trace the issue they only see you as the transaction receiver.

The scam can work anyhow the scammer chooses to spin it. First step is to give the victim a greed test to see if he will jump in. Then you may be asked to submit your documents, credit cards, ssn, and private information to access the loan. After that the victims may be asked to pay fees to get the loan. The lies do not need to be intelligent scammer aren’t very smart they just find greedy people who are willingly to believe the lies.
They could be aiming for identity theft (asking your ID details claiming they need them to avoid providing multiple loans to same person ).
With stolen IDs there is vast amount of possible scenarios.
e.g. making their own loan using your identity with intention to never repay (while you'll be the one prosecuted by authorities).

I very often come across this type of scam, although the methods they use are different, but the goal is the same to get money from their victims.

Some scammers are very good and creative thinkers that don't always rely on textbook method to swindle money from unfortunate victims, so you must always know that any too good to be true offer is usually a scam. Analyzing how i think this works, for loan scams - after providing your personal details first for your loan application, you will be required to pay service charge to process your loan application first, then afterwards, you usually have to pay a certain percentage of any amount you request depending on the type of loan to the loan company to show that you are financially capable for the amount of loan you requesting (Say you need $100k for a big project, the percentage you are required to pay may fall around $5k - 15k). If you fall prey, after payment, you will never receive any loan deposit.
While i agree with @mk4 that it could be anything, but it's very likely the scam involve Social engineering technique.
I doubt it's good idea. If you make a reply, you give information that the email is actively used which makes your email address more attractive for spam/scam target.

It could be any method, tbh. They could end up asking for some collateral, they could ask for special authorization access to your admin panel, they could end up giving you a fake loan requiring you to create an account on a scam exchange then asking for a "withdrawal fee" to access the "loan", etc.
This pretty much sums up the entire thing- it could potentially be anything under the sun that will involve the user signing up to a website and provide any details that would compromise your security/identity.
Anything that offers loans without even explaining what the nature of their financial structure should definitely be considered as a red flag. If you are truly curious, then ask for their details and their loan structure on how such would work. Anything that will involve you in providing credit card details, etc. should be a sign that you must avoid.
Scammers have many varieties processes for penetrating into someone privacy or hidden files and documents, it's obvious that any mail that's not of official to you is a trap, so the only remedy to overcome them is to isolate them, scammers have many strategies to scam people's and accomplish their target. and secondly before enrolling into investment we have to take precautions and be curious to know the potentiality of the platform at first before engaging ourselves into the investment, the best way to overcome scammers is isolation of their mail which is been sent to our inbox, don't respond to any.
Just as said, it could lead to any possible scam or extortion. A sure spam scam having that lots of recipients.

The other type of this scam is when they're attaching a link at the end of their email. Good thing my email provider is making that unclickable.

You should not only stay away from emails like that but also you should rethink where you have submitted your email address that it ended up being sold to scammers to send you such emails. And avoid doing that in the future (or use different email addresses for different purposes).

You don't have to know how it works just stay away from such mails, once you click on some inbox mail the work is done, this is why I don't open any mails that I'm not expecting, scamming ways are so unlimited better just take precaution very serious.
As mk4 said but it could simply just also be a confirmation the email address is active/checked by a person to resell your contact info (email).
It might be likely they send you a link to a website where they say the funds have been sent to you, immediately ask for you to return them (because of an emergency on their end) and managing to engineer the victim into parting with actual funds.
