- MtGox - I would ask older users about it, people familiar with Mt.Gox should have their old addresses bookmarked
- Silk Road - it could be hard as I dubt anyone will share info about their affinity with SR

- BitPay - it is a legal company, shoot them an "official mail".

However, I can't find a API call on blockchain.info to retrieve this information or at least a search field on the website. Do I just miss them?

I just found https://blockchain.info/tags but it seems like you can't search for a specific address or service. The only option I see is to write a crawler script which extracs all addresses from all pages 
Of course blockchain.info wouldn't supply this information. Why would they? They just have a simple API. I'm pretty sure certain addresses have been marked (e.g. I've seen SatoshiDice Hot wallet or LuckyBit Red, etc.) IIRC, you can simply search for them.
