What’s the difference between Bitcoin-Qt and Bitcoin Core?
I do not particularly understand the technical features of coins, but as far as I understand now, it is better not to invest in forks at all, although from these two Bitcoin Core appears to be better.

What about BTC/BTC Cash? BTC Cash seems to be doing pretty well right now.

The Bitcoin Core and Bitcoin-QT distinction belongs to the same category. The short answer is that there is no difference between Bitcoin Core and Bitcoin QT – they are just different versions of the same thing. First it was called Bitcoin-QT and later it was renamed to Bitcoin Core.

I know that Core is much more popular and he seems to me more reliable than all the forks of Bitcoin. Although I did not invest in them.
