It would depend on the terms of the agreement.

Would also depend on if you used escrow and what their terms are/were regarding situations like this

I feel like I am the loser in every situation. I sold a 5 ltc coin that got lost in the mail a few years back. Everyone agreed that the buyer didn't have to pay me.

But I feel as if, I was to buy an item. Pay for it. And than it get lost in the mail sellers here would tell me tough luck.
