Description of Problem: I have had this message for a week's time...."Armory is scanning the global transaction history to retrieve information about your wallets. The "Transactions" tab will be updated with wallet balance and history as soon as the scan is complete." Is this an error? If not, how long does it take for this process to update

Hmm, "for a week's time" is  not supposed to be,  Armory builds its own database pretty quick .  If bitcoincore installed, make sure  Armory runs it in background and then, delete full directory (both BitcoinCore and Armory should be closed) which holds Armory's database and launch  the client again. Don't forget to point out Armory to directory where Bitcoin Core holds blockchain, the latter must not be pruned.

First, props for using the proper format.

Regarding your problem, is it possible that you don't have bitcoin core installed and synced?
As previously mentioned, armory requires core.

If you don't want to download and process the whole blockchain, you'd need to use a SPV wallet (e.g. wasabi) instead of armory.

Regarding the requested logs from HCP, you can either export them by clicking File -> Export Log File or by opening it directly located in:
Code:
C:\Users\USER\AppData\Roaming\Armory\
HCP

As TryNinja mentioned, you require Bitcoin Core for Armory to function properly. Do you have Bitcoin Core installed, running and fully synced? Huh

Also, can you post your Armory log files? (Copy/paste contents of Armory log files to pastebin.com then post generated pastebin link here)

Finally, there is a dedicated Armory wallet subboard here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=97.0

Armory is a full node wallet. This means that you need to download the entire Bitcoin blockchain before using. Depending on your internet speed and computer specs, it can take indeed some time.

You should see the progress in the middle of the dashboard screen. Or maybe, if something went wrong, you could click Help -> Rebuild and rescan databases.

If you don't want to wait that long, you can simply use a lightweight wallet like Electrum.org, which doesn't require the entire blockchain and it's basically plug and go.
