Since it was a mining board i didnt expect it would be used for gaming but you are correct. : )
For that reason extenders used for mining are most of the time 16x to 1x

Yeah, you were right. Just because of my mining activities I choose to upgrade my personal computer with a mining board too (gigabyte H110-D3A). So I can use it for gaming and sometimes for mining purposes (to find another profitable coin and modified GPU Bios) and it won't disturb my other mining rig activity.

My other mining rig.

Don't put directly your GPU to a cut PCIE x1 if you don't know what you are doing because it might blew up your GPU or the motherboard. So instead of making profit you will lose a big amount.

Better to wait for some expert here who already tested it so that you can directly put your GPU without hesitation or much better to buy risers if you are planning to put all of your GPUs.

Can i mount a gpu direct in the black slot?
cause i dont have risers

- snip -

its a cut in the slot, so the gpu fits, but will it work for mining??

I think it will work as long as you use it for mining, PCIe bandwidth is not a big deal for a mining process and would not affect hashing speed.  When you convert PCIe x16 to x1 it will force your GPU to operate in PCIe x1 speed, for gaming, it will reduce the performance but for mining, you don't need to worry.

That would be no problem. You can stick a gpu on a 1x pcie slot.
The other way around is also possible, sticking a 1x pcie riser cable in a 16x slot.
