I played with many faucets when I was a newbie. Use them just to know how Bitcoin works, not earn money! (It's not possible)
I look forward to the day we have to extend the number of decimal places! Next step is the milli-Satoshi.
You cannot send fractions of a satoshi, so if a site keeps track of fractions of a satoshi, it is up to the site to decide what to do with the fraction.
BTW, a satoshi is an absurdly small amount of money. 40.15 satoshis is only $0.000003075. Even if you were paid 40.15 satoshis every second, you would still only be paid $0.01 per hour.

My wallet uses the 8 decimal places, which was no problem to begin with .. but now with the higher price of BTC, a lot of faucets i use have started using 10 decimal places... so am I to assume that if a when i get a payout of say 40.15 satoshis that i am only credited the 40 satoshis and the .15 are lost, or are they there but just not being shown?? I looked through the FAQ for my wallet but i can't find anything on the topic.. I have a Multibit wallet if that helps anyone answer
Unless there are some fork in the future, all on-chain transaction (no matter what wallet you are using) will have 8 decimal places.
So, it is just impossible for the site you mentioned to send you 0.15 satoshi.

All of the 40.15 satoshis are dust and if you make a payout normally it will be considered a non standard transaction that bitcoin-qt will not even relay and miners by default will reject from including it in a block.
Do not use these faucets more than once to get an idea of how the coin works. I used to many of them and now I have 0.05BTC on my wallet which I cannot transfer: the transfer fees are HIGHER than those 0.05BTC shared among a zillion microtransactions. Bitcoin gives you a penalty if you try to add so much information to the blockchain just to make a small transaction.
As for your question, they most likely show that to let you know that they are actually giving you a bit more which can end up making an additional satoshi if you use their faucet enough times.
