No, I won't delete your post--but I knew about everything you said.  As I mentioned I did try to find out the answer to this before creating a thread.

To clarify: if I have 1000 PIVX, I can expect a reward every X days (though it's random).  Let's say I now have 10,000 PIVX.  Are the rewards going to become more frequent because I'm staking more PIVX?  And yeah, I realize at that point I could have a masternode, but I'm specifically talking about staking here.

As an aside, on a whim I bought one of those PIVX stakeboxes, the Raspberry Pi thing that's dedicated to staking.  I have yet to set it up because I don't have an ethernet cable.  My internet comes from local wi-fi.  It was probably a waste of money, but I thought it was a cool thing.

Each PIVX in your wallet is one ticket. Every minute a ticket is pulled. Over time, the person with most ticket/coins will have the most rewards but that doesn't prevent someone with very few having an against all odds day. I started stacking with two wallets on different networks. One has 9000 PIVX and the other has 700 pivx (saving up for a masternode). As luck would have it, day one of staking, my 700 PIVX wallet staked 2X while my 9000 PIVX wallet got just one reward. Weeks later big wallet is earning steadily while the 700 PIVX wallet hasn't got rewarded since.

Going through the post I believe staking large number as well keeping it diversified will increases the chance of getting rewarded.

OK, that helps a little, even though it was posted by a random person on reddit.  The 'ticket' analogy was kind of what I assumed but I'd never heard it expressed like that before.  Thanks!

I'm still going to keep the thread open for more input.

I've been staking PIVX for a while now, and I'm confused as to whether the rewards/dividends are proportional to the amount of PIVX you're staking.  This may sound like a complete noob question, but I've looked for the answer and never found a clear answer to it.  I did watch a video where some guy said something like "Right now if you stake roughly 1000 PIVX you can expect a reward every X days or so".  I assume the more you have in your wallet, the more frequent the rewards are....but I'm not sure how that works exactly.

I realize PIVX isn't very popular around here judging by the responses I've had in previous threads trying to discuss it, but I'd really like to hear some opinions.

Topic is self-moderated to discourage shitposting, but unless your post is really bad or is off-topic I won't delete it.  Thanks, guys.
After this thread went through pivx and understood a little about the rewards on staking. From the official site it is clear that roughly 1000 pivx is a must to get rewarded with the wallet being active. And the reward is being distributed in a random manner. For what you stake you'll be rewarded once in x days, this at times won't get you rewards for even 15 days and at times you might get two times rewarded in a single day.

I'm not sure what you've asked and what I've described has relative information. If something is wrong please delete it.
