To clarify: if I have 1000 PIVX, I can expect a reward every X days (though it's random). Let's say I now have 10,000 PIVX. Are the rewards going to become more frequent because I'm staking more PIVX? And yeah, I realize at that point I could have a masternode, but I'm specifically talking about staking here.
As an aside, on a whim I bought one of those PIVX stakeboxes, the Raspberry Pi thing that's dedicated to staking. I have yet to set it up because I don't have an ethernet cable. My internet comes from local wi-fi. It was probably a waste of money, but I thought it was a cool thing.
Each PIVX in your wallet is one ticket. Every minute a ticket is pulled. Over time, the person with most ticket/coins will have the most rewards but that doesn't prevent someone with very few having an against all odds day. I started stacking with two wallets on different networks. One has 9000 PIVX and the other has 700 pivx (saving up for a masternode). As luck would have it, day one of staking, my 700 PIVX wallet staked 2X while my 9000 PIVX wallet got just one reward. Weeks later big wallet is earning steadily while the 700 PIVX wallet hasn't got rewarded since.
Going through the post I believe staking large number as well keeping it diversified will increases the chance of getting rewarded.
