Do you think that games on solana blockchain will do better than those on ethereum blockchain? Also after the Ethereum PoS switch will other projects matter? If Ethereum can finally fixed its gas fee and have a limited supply wouldn't Ethereum blockchain be more attractive than every other?.
i think it backnto games fundamental that will release. Maybe we need to analize about network capacity that needed by this games. Is it will need high network capacity to prvent stuck on chain activity or not. Basicly games operation didnt care on which chain build but on chain activity that influence.

I think the second layer solution as alternative for ETH will become less relevant if ETH could successfully solve its gas fee, even though most of projects that have migrated in these second layer blockchain definitely just gonna stay.
the newer projects will definitely just stick with ETH as it's the most famous smart contract blockchain and could benefits them more in the long term as the ecosystem is already really good.
meanwhile the second layer solution smart contract chain will then instead try further developing their ecosystem and features so that they could become real competition against eth.

I can't say how will ETH 2.0 will do and how proof of stake matters to other projects and so forth, it will definitely be a problem to some of them because they will have to change the chain they are working on and that's fine. But at the end of the day if we are talking about just ethereum, that's fine.

However, you asked if SOL would be better for them and checking back on the 2-3 times they got frozen for high activity on their chain, plus the hacking deals happened not too long ago just recently, I could say that even if ETH has a problem, projects will not move to SOL directly, they will go to BNB, ADA, Avax or whatever next, but not SOL, that is not a project people love so much anymore.

They are quite improving, right? What just they did is all about making them strong and a sort of healthy market competition and I believe they are providing good services to their clients for the sake of making them known to the community. But people are very focused on the fees without seeing the other side of Ethereum which we are supposed to look at as well.
What matter most now is seeing them continue to improve and likely to prove that they are worthy of our trust.

if you compare the solana network and the ethereum network, of course ethereum is still very good, especially regarding the case of the solana hack,
of course this makes SOL talk about by many parties, and many also leave their network, but for Ethereum, they really really want to change for the better,
the switch from PoW to PoS will certainly make Gas much cheaper, and even like BNB, we will see Ethereum much better and the ecosystem will certainly grow rapidly

I think crypto based gamma would be better if it has its own chain. accommodated by the Solana or ethereum chain makes the coins made less serious so the hype is very short whereas the games usually last a long hype because it is not very suitable to make coins with smart contracts.

As big as Axie infinity is it still runs on erc20 smart contract till date and look at the rate it captured the heart of many people around the world, even while Ethereum has fee was very high people are still playing this game, I think the most worrisome part of play to earn game isn't about gas fee its about how good the game is, P2E games need to be captivating enough for it to be successful.

Sold a blockchain sucks for everything, my advice to crypto project builders out there both upcoming and already launched, make sure your project is available on multi-chain, this is the future, not everyone will want to use solana network and not everyone is a solana fan.
I see that so many people were also being frustated caused by so many problem that happened with this blockchain. This is not viable anymore to be called as a decentralized blockchain. Centralized blockchain much more suitable for this blockchain. I think that you are a bit going out of topic but as long as the hype will always exist and any project even game can also be successful with various blockchain. It's about game not blockchain

That's true, the PoW Ethereum will fix the gas fee issue that many people has been complaining lately, but I also saw some people have negative sentiment towards this move to PoS, they afraid that most of the ETH will be held by exchange so in that case, Ethereum will be less decentralize, tho I believe its minority, but I think they have a valid concern.

And if you compared to Solana, I think Ethereum is always better, Ethereum has more holder, meaning that you can have bigger target market, and with Solana hack happened recently people will be more hesitant to use Solana.

Games on solana used to be touted as a match/pair made in heaven; but it has failed to live up to its expectations. With recent failings in the solana ecosystem, and the nft world on solana turned to a defi scam blockchain makes it difficult for most games to even think about switching to the solana chain. Even the ethereum chain is struggling to hold on to most of its games independently. The biggest chances of a successful gamefi is on bsc network and ethereum network too.

An important note, with or without the ethereum gas fees issues, it is already the most attractive chain

Ethereum chain is still the better option, imo.
Forget about the gas fees because projects are just using smart contracts in ERC20 and then they create their own chain for transactions.
The better example of it is Axie Infinity. Started using ERC20 transaction then created the sidechain Ronin for cheaper fees.

About picking between the two, Ethereum chain is more popular and you will get more investors by using it, that's the first main purpose on why it should be the best choice.

Yes, choosing the ETH network as a starting point to get investors is more effective if the project can take advantage of its popularity, because we know the solana network often does not work well, which is currently reducing investor confidence in it.

There are some lags in the Solana blockchain also as it's in beta phase like you would see whenever there is hyped mint going on for any of the project the TPS is down to 1400ps which is far below what they promise but they are working on it while speaking of ETH then the gas is major problem which is not being resolved with forks also and burning the coins out of supply so they need some more development towards this matter if they want to sustain in the market.

Do you think that games on solana blockchain will do better than those on ethereum blockchain?
There are no differences and that's actually depend on the project developers and adoption rate. As far as i know solana didn't have good games. I think that you shall understand if blockchain didn't play a lot in the successful of game developed by various developers.

after the Ethereum PoS switch will other projects matter? If Ethereum can finally fixed its gas fee and have a limited supply wouldn't Ethereum blockchain be more attractive than every other?.
POS at least helping the gaming project based on ethereum to be able interact with low fees.
So what will be the fate of those other projects that only based on solving high gas fees on Ethereum? Won't developers start jumping back to erc20 smart contract for future build because this was the reason why many left for Bep 20 and other.

~snip~

For me, it still depends on the game developer how they will market their gaming platform itself, so whether it is under SOL or ETH, you can never have absolute answer on this matter. But of course, once eth network reduced their fees significantly, it will be a very good attraction to users and developers. But whether SOL or ETH, the games have their fair competition.
Yes, that's why it will still depend on your perspective.

There are projects that are good in the solana network and the same goes in the ethereum network. And both networks also has worst projects that we shouldn't invest.

But if it's all about popularity.

We all will agree that it's on ETH.

The answers to your questions probably depends on how the community thinks of the switch to POS once they test it out. Chains like Solana became popular because they thought they could provide solution to the Ethereum's congestion problem which leads to slow confirmation and high transaction fees. Solana does have a problem of its own like network shutdown during attacks or outage.

I personally believe major ETH competitors will remain.

Doing better will depend on who's looking at. We've got biases and even if the other is being successful but we don't hold it, we'll say that we still have the best despite not being successful.

Also after the Ethereum PoS switch will other projects matter?
Still, it's because there's the competition. But on this matter, then others might also do some updates that shall take the spotlight of Ethereum by that time it happens.

It always depends on the project it self, because the project is the number one priority.

However, for the easy and efficient transaction especially for the game that needed "chain transaction" using a chain with a faster & cheap transaction to avoid player costing so much money for just the fee transaction. That's why, most project came with some solution.

Supported multiple chain on their ecosystem, like some specific chain for their game activity and the other chain like "ETH" for their token trading.
