It means someone else found a block, not you. Mining solo might take billions of years to find a block if you are mining with a laptop.

No my friend. you have to wait until you get coin.
Sometimes it could take time up to 1 or 2 hours.
It depends on your graphic card and the difficulty of mining.

But sometimes there could be some problems with wallet and other staff.

Nobody knows your laptop's specs anyways basically you ain't mining a block.

I started mining about 6 hours ago, solo mining using cgminer.  I keep seeing the message 'new block detected in network' but nothing is going to my wallet.  Does it take time?  or did i do something wrong?
