Since you are a developer and want to do this, why not review the steemit code to check if it's really possible to carry out what you want to do, because anyone that could tell you if it's possible or not would be someone who have studied the steemit blockchain and I don't think you are going to find them in this part of the forum since it's just for altcoin discussion, maybe you should move the topic to the technical discussion of this forum.

STEEM for Crowdfunding?

I would like to use steam to create a crowdfunding platform in south america which is very scarce in crowdfunding.

I am looking to implement steam in order to create an incentive to reward project and campaign creators for promoting their projects and campaigns in order to receive the rewards. The model I'm looking to implement works a bit like the following:
Campaigns have a rating system that rates campaigns based on importance and relevance (in case this is a productive project not charity). Coins generated will go to a wallet that will change the coins for cash and give a commission discount depending on the money earned. If the coins earned exceed the maximum possible commission (commission is a percentage of the maximum goal) then we will add the cash earned added to their balance.

We won't be crediting directly with steem coins because we don't want to burden them with having to exchange the coins most people aren't to blockchain savvy and in latin america even less so.

As for charity campaigns there won't be any commissions but we will reward them based on the number and amount of donations received and crediting them accordingly.

Can this be done using Steem?

If not, please let me know if there is a blockchain that works for this..
