the anker usb 3 is strange with the pi and iv never seen anyone get it to work. even through another usb 2 hub i doubt it will work. its also the reason im never going to touch it. there is a list floating around of pi compatible hubs. i assume its all down to the chips in the hubs and whether there Linux compatible

I just know that say the anker hubs wont work with Pi cause they are usb3 but if flowed through a usb2 hub they would work right?  Since in end the Pi sees a usb2 connection not usb3

aslong as there not cheap ass hubs they should work fine usb3 hub just step down to usb 2 and usb2 voltage when using usb2 devices. they only use 12v when they use usb3 for usb3 devices

If I use a usb2 hub to Pi and the usb3 hubs to that usb 2 hub will Pi see everything ok???  Most because the usb3 hubs use the 12v versus 5v so usually end up with more miners supported per hub then the usb2 hubs do.
