I think I followed this quite a while back - I like it because it can track balances of loaded coins etc. and other things when I load it:

@all if you only want to save the BTC addresses of the respective coins and then check whether a foreign transaction has taken place on this address, then i would recommend sentinel, which was even released today in the new 5.0.0 version.

You can now add and manage public keys in different Collections, allowing you to view the transaction history and balance of a whole Collection while still having the ability to do the same for individual public keys.

i have been using sentinel for over a year and am very happy with it. it keeps track of all my BTC addresses that appear in my entire ccc collection Smiley

Thats actually a great suggestion, never thought of that.

We are working on something

www.kollektra.com

Where can we announce this .. when it is eventually ready... is Collectibles  a good forum to announce?

Here or maybe the Service Announcements board

Interested to see what is involved in this. . .

Good question by QB, I have thought of tracking my collectibles befre and ill probably go with
Apache Open Office - Calc > https://www.openoffice.org/product/calc.html purely because
its open source!

with excel you can sort the data easily - you could also add pictures.

could maybe use liberty street's "HomeManage" program?

found the link: https://www.libertystreet.com/Asset-Home-Inventory.htm

it allows for adding all types of data about each item - including pictures etc

currently all of mine are in an access database. but I would like to add pictures as well.

note: they have another program that is specific for coins but I am not sure if it would work with crypto items as it appears to be geared towards fiat coins.

Another access user!  Cool I would send you merit for that if I had any lol.

I would look into software that was designed in general for collectors, be it stamps, non crypto coins, things like that.
At a guess most of them could be adapted to work with crypto, or at least give you something that should be better then excel.

The downside, is going to be that you are now exposing what you have. So if someone does not know the true value of your crypto collectable collection. If they see what you have in the app, they will know....

Interesting point, I'm trying a few software as we speak. most of them give you the ability to create all kinds of customer fields which can help a lot.

I understand what you mean about the phone app and privacy, note that all the SaaS software is not as secure as it's should, so exposure will be not a great idea.
if to use the software it's better to make sure it's a brand, common cloud provider, MFA & 2Fa, encryption will be a nice addon.

I'm using an Excel datasheet with all the data related to the coin itself
[...]
I do the exact same thing, if you find anything as simple as that, but more user friendly, let me know. Wink

i see, well i think there must be a better (also graphic) way to track those babies.
i will keep you posted, np.

Hi everyone,

I hope everyone is well & safe Cheesy

I'm trying to figure out how to keep tracking my coin collection using any inventory or dedicated coin software to track many factors.

I would love to hear if you have any ideas or suggestions on how you are doing it today,

I'm using an Excel datasheet with all the data related to the coin itself, but I would like to sort it better.

I really appreciate any help you can provide.
