I presently have an older Bitcoin-qt v0.8.beta
I've sent a bitcoin payment from my bitcoin-qt wallet to my Blockchain wallet.
The process seems to have completed ok from Bitcoin-qt wallet.
Nothing is showing yet as received on the Blockchain wallet.
Bitcoin-QT is showing synchronising 93 weeks behind and it is synchronising a t a rate of 3 weeks per day.
Will my payment be still transferred to the new wallet even though synchronising hasn't finished.
If so how long will the transfer take - nothing has happened in 24 hours.
Transaction details at the moment is showing "unconfirmed (0 ot of 6 confirmations)
Can you find your transaction on
https://blockchain.info/ to see if it has even been broadcasted? If it has, it probably has a low fee and won't confirm any time soon.
I strongly recommend you to:
-close the client
-backup wallet.dat
-upgrade to the latest Bitcoin Core
-Start Bitcoin Core. The latest version should sync a lot faster, although it still depends on your computer.
Even if your transaction is confirmed already, your client will only see if after it completes synchronising.
As an alternative, you could export your private keys and import them into (for example) Electrum. But if you're not in a rush, it's safest and easiest to stick to Bitcoin Core.
