Say I wanted to buy an account with high activity so I wouldn't have to wait so long for the restrictions to lift and earn better in a sig campaign, but I don't want to try to assume the identity of the previous user.

yeah, but you have to be careful. Have at least one(try two for safety) post per activity period. At any rate, most people don't mind the(previous) posts if you are open about the fact that you bought the accountOr, what would people think if this account made a post something like "account under new management as of xx/xx/xxxx" and stake a new address letting everybody know and having proof?
I believe other people(at least the ones on DT, whose feedback matters) are reasonable and moral enough to not tag the account if you openly let others knowWould just the fact that the account is bought be a reason to receive negative trust even if it was openly and plainly stated so?
What do you think?
As I said earlier, DT members,whose feedback shows up by default(if you haven't manually excluded them from your trust network), won't tag your account, unless you do something shady/promote (ponzi)scam etc. What do you think?
