I know its in the past but I want to ask the Americans (or people who studied history) did your ancestors told you about the war? May you share it? I just watch a movie yesterday about the war more than years ago than questions come up.

1. I want to know why did the Americans fight the Filipino back than rather than helping them?
2. What did the Spaniards did to fight against the Filipino Soldiers?
3. Do you have a family that was alive in the late 60s? Like to share there story? Please do if you know a story that really happened back than.
when i was in school we study the history of philippines when the spanish and americans came to conquer our country ,Like:

1.the americans fight the filipinos because they want to colonize the philippines but the filipinos fought back but eventually the filipinos loss to the americans.
2.the spaniards is the first who fought the filipino soldiers when magellan discovered the philippines in 1521 to be exact , but unfortunately magellan died in the battle of mactan , and lapu-lapu killed magellan.
3.my grand grand parents now are not alive anymore who had live in late 60's , sadly i haven't heard their stories in the past .
that was all i know of the history of the philippines.
