5. The interest depends entirely on the amount and the duration it is taken for. However, its much different and probably more than the real world, due to the possiblity of the risk for a scam to happen.

Collateral are usually cloudmining accounts, alt coins, forum accounts, anything which can be sold easily to recover the loan amount in case the loanee defaults.

Interest rates vary with the amount, the small loans usually have a 20-30% rate for a few days.

Why are you interested?

learning is all. one of these days i may ask for a loan but its not anytime this year. trying to inform myself of what i may or may not need and be ready for any questions thrown my way.

1. Collaterals secure the lender... If you default on your loan, the lender still receives his funds back, and sometimes with extra %
2. Altcoins usually, accounts are also becoming popular forms of collateral....Basically anything the lender can take control of and has stable value
3. You'll find it extremely hard to get a loan unless you're considerably trusted
4. Most likely no, unless they have a substantial untrusted feedback and/or have valid collateral
5. 5% - 15%, but varies widely depending on the duration of the loan

If you have anymore questions, I'm happy to help. This is good public reference for newbies to this section.
Btw, why is this self moderated?
