Hi everyone,
I am wondering if there is a quicker way to buy BTC than waiting the week + on coinbase?
I have a coinbase account but due to their ID Verification system being messed up I have to wait a week + for any BTC I buy.
This is immensely frustrating I just want to buy about .76 of BTC for a transaction and not wait forever.
Are there any quick exchanges?

Thanks

IDK about exchanges but i suggest you to buy BTC here at bitcointalk. Beware of newbies. Buy bitcoins only from trusted members/traders. Personally, i prefer BenAnh Smiley

I guess coinbase is the fastest place to bitcoin transactions

In the first post is written: I have a coinbase account but due to their ID Verification system being messed up I have to wait a week + for any BTC I buy.

So it is impossible for him to use coinbase.

I don't know if work in your country but I haven't heard that they don't work in some country. It is the easiest way to buy bitcoins with credit card or paypal. I'm talking about virwox. I have bought there my first two bitcoins and went fine everything. So I suggest to use this site. I read all the post here and no one has named this exchange. Seems strange because is well known by to many people.

localbitcoin is the quickest way to buy BTC

I sugges this route too.

localbitcoins is probably way quicker anyways esp, if you meet up your local person in your area for cash in hand.

Outside from that, I dont see much options unless theres a bitcoin atm setup around your area.

Hello guys, is coincafe.com safe to buy bitcoins with western union?
Or maybe You can suggest some other WesternUnion->bitcoin exchanger?

I am all set with Coinbaase now as I stated in a previous post.
The rush at the time was some equipment I had an opportunity to buy that was time sensitive.  I was able to get all set though.

what's the rush? That week would have been by now and you could be buying them on coinbase. Use a dummy bank account with a couple thousand inside and get verified.  Have strong passwords too. I just upgraded all mine, all accounts, and started using 2 factor autentication, lastpass, and have a barcode USB scanner that can scan 2D codes coming in the mail, so I make long random passwords for everything and store backups in safe deposit boxes and in my wallet.

I did sign up with them but have not used them yet.
In the meantime I got everything going at coinbase so I can finally instant purchase.

Maybe you can try localbitcoins, and find a trade...
You don't need to do any verification this way...

I'm definitely biased, but CoinRnr.com has some of the fastest delivery speeds around (most orders processed within 15 minutes). We are US based and are accepting cash deposits to Bank of America and Wells Fargo at this time. Looking to add other banks as well as payment options shortly. You can also sell your coins to us and receive bank transfers (US only).

Our bitcointalk thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/deleted-426068.

What % is your buy-sell spread?

Our priced aren't fixed on a particular exchange and instead on our own supply/demand so they vary over time. On average our buy price (including fees, if there are any) is 3-7% above bitstamp's price and our sell price 1-3%.

Are you licensed to sell bitcoins? Do you have an AML program and keep track of identities? Im not looking to get busted by the feds like shrem

We are registered with FinCEN as a Money Services Business and maintain effective AML/KYC policies. See the terms for more info: https://coinrnr.com/terms

For the benefit of anyone reading this thread who might be in the UK or elsewhere in Europe, speedybitcoin.co.uk seems to offer pretty decent service. A user in the UK can transfer directly to their account and a couple of hours later, presto -- BTC arrives safely.

I'm the only one I know with BTC.
One I get my new miner I will be able to be the guy they all buy from.  Should be this week.  Grin

getcoincafe.com looks good and quick, but the price is *not* equivalent to bitstamp. Currently bitstamp is $790 and coin cafe $843.

I forgot to mention the most obvious option.   You can ask someone you know to sell you a bitcoin.   That is how I got started initially.   I just handed him cash, and he sent me bitcoins immediately.   Nice and easy..

yep, buy btc from friends, if you dont know anyone with bitcoin, become that guy. become that guy by buying asap from any of the options listed above. personally I like coinbase, its easy for me. Id prefer to use a exchange i can set bids at and scoop low prices on dips but I honestly feel a coin bought today, is a coin I'll be happy to have bought a year from now, and as such i dont mind paying a little more then the minimum possible, to avoid missing a chance should the price take off while im waiting for a dip.

Yeah that is a pretty big price difference, but I guess if you are looking for immediate bitcoins, you have to be anticipating or willing to pay a slight premium, otherwise you would just wait it out at coinbase or one of the other exchanges..

Yes it's not too bad.
The best part is I can buy right from my card instead of all the wire transfers and trying to find a bank up here in the boonies for deposits and such.

$808.19 right now.
Yesterday it was $788 something.

Very true.
Coinbase finally got set ok so monday I can do instant buys.  Very frustrating to have to wait so long.
Still it could be worse I suppose.
I am definitely going to get setup with some other exchanges so I don't have to be stuck anymore.

We don't have any of their big banks up here.  Closest too far away.

cashintocoins.com is easy to work with. deposit cash into big-name bank. get coins in est. 24 hours.

You could be verified, deposited money, and obtained bitcoins at bitstamp in a week.

What does a coin cost at coinbase?

OK, so going on bitstamp prices. That is ok then.

There have been several threads about this in the past, but Coinbase uses Bitstamp as their exchange since they don't own one.  So you'll see their buy/sell prices track those at Bitstamp.  Generally off a few dollars though because Coinbase takes a bid off the spread in their words "to reduce risk".  Ie, they want more fees. Wink

Apologies, but since I'm not in the US and can't access Coinbase, just trying to get more info.

State laws are nuts at time.
NY is screwed for all sorts of law because of NYC.

Bitsimple is not available to NY residents that sucks.

Yes, NY, CA, and I think VA.  The US is strange where you need each states approval for any sort of "banking related" business.  NY is one of the tougher states to get approved in for anything, banking, securities, insurance etc.

I will check them out now thanks.

bitsimple.com.  spreads stink, but they do it right.

I think this is the easiest and most simple way but you'll pay maybe $10-15/coin vs an exchange.  If you have a cc or paypal account you can get verified with 5 min via cc and 24 hr via paypal.  US based in SC and basically run by member on this forum, so I would considered very trusted.  Plus once you buy you have your coin super fast to do with what you want with it.

Debit card, Paypal or some such.  I live rural so getting to banks for wire transfers are a bit more difficult and western union charges $65 for same day service now it's nuts.
As for my paypal I know there are many scammers but I use mine for sales on Ebay and would never jeopardize my perfect record by scamming anyone.
I also have made done trasnactions with BreathofZen on here and he can vouch for me.  I am actually buying some gear from another trusted member on here as well.  We are going to use Canaryinthemine for escrow once I get the BTC.

.76 BTC

Great info everyone.  I am checking this all out now.
I appreciate all the help.

Oh that's weird. The higher price they quote on the home page will put people off. Perhaps its not real-time price quote or something. Bitcoin was at $843 but that was like a couple of days back Wink

Do you know how to get an invite to be able to purchase with a debit card?
I live quite rural so it's a pain to go anywhere for WU and money orders and such unless there is a way to do that online?

I haven't tried the debit card yet. But I've used cash deposit and it's super fast. I also sent them a big check once and it took a couple days to clear, but I got my coins immediately after that. It was a personal check too.

Ya , I can walk to www.getcoincafe.com from my place, or I can stay home and buy it online zero fee and the price is actual, and its instantly recieved. I use btc-e.com to convert btc to altcoins.   I wouldn't bother with btc-e.com due to the time it takes to send USD to the site and  to convert btc to USD, because of the long delay if ever of getting fiat back to my bank. If your in North America.. ya have to wait a long time

localbitcoins is super expensive... coin cafe is just as fast, and the price is in line with Bitstamp.

price of localbitcoins is not fixed. Every seller has a different price. I agree some ask ridiculous amounts but you just filter them out.

I'll take a look at coin cafe though.

Thanks

There aren't really any quick exchanges because they have to verify your identify first.

bitstamp.net is very efficient at that. Don't go anywhere near gox.

If you want coins really quick, use localbitcoins.com

Ya , I can walk to www.getcoincafe.com from my place, or I can stay home and buy it online zero fee and the price is actual, and its instantly recieved. I use btc-e.com to convert btc to altcoins.   I wouldn't bother with btc-e.com due to the time it takes to send USD to the site and  to convert btc to USD, because of the long delay if ever of getting fiat back to my bank. If your in North America.. ya have to wait a long time

This is the land of wolves now & you're not a wolf
I think you can open an account on coinbase and then buy a btc from someone else and have them send it to you there or to blockchain

Thanks
