For stock non reference, those Asus triple slot monsters are the most quiet. Followed by MSI, PowerColor, and Sapphire. Gigabyte (rev.2) is the loudest.

I own MSI and Gigabytes.  The MSIs are loud as crap and run hotter as they only have 2 fans.  The gigabytes have 3 fans and are much quieter.

The three fan gigabytes are very quiet even at full fan speed.  Though this is just my personal experience through owning several different kinds of 7950s.  I dont have any figures to back it up.

This.  My 3-fan Gigabyte 7950 is quieter than the Asus 7850 with 2 fans.

There are lots of aftermarket coolers out there, I've always liked Arctic Cooling offerings myself. The stock coolers are typically very noisy at full speed as they have to make up for small fan size with high RPM.

However many of them are bigger than stock ones, so you will probably need to spread out your GPUs a bit to accommodate them.

Here is a noise benchmark on 7950s from the major brands:

They're all about the same.

The Sapphire fans are smooth as silk, anything 69% and under is tolerable.  Lower speeds are nearly inaudible depending on your setup.  The Gigabyte cards are also fantastic.  MSI is good too.

Sapphire is voltage unlocked, while Gigabyte is locked, not sure about MSI.  Though with the 7950s I don't think that matters as people around here are getting fantastic hashrates as well with the Gigabyte and MSI cards as long as you're using them for --scrypt.

Although if you want to power save you'll want to flash different bios on the locked cards.  The Sapphire undervolts very well while even overclocking a bit.  I'm speaking for the 7970s though, but I imagine the 7950s might be similar.

I'm looking to pick up a 7950 with a quiet fan.

Do you know of any links that list the respective noise generated by these cards?

Or does anyone have any personal recommendations? I'm leaning towards two-fan Sapphire at present.

Thanks
